Quilted Quotes- A Color, Sketch and Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge :-)

Hi Again Stampers!

Here is another card that I created last night using the Splitcoaststampers CC494 Color Challenge- Melon Mambo, Basic Gray and Wild Wasabi (dessert option- Summer or Winter) along with the  FabFri49Sketch Challenge  as well as the Paper Players PP211 Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge (Green, Embossing and Ribbon)- love this type of challenge!!

Every so often, I like to use some of my older retired stamps to create cards and give them some "love" :-)  This set was from the 2001 catalog and I have rarely used it- I love the cute images and script around the edges (this is one I will have to use again soon :-))

Again, if you have not had a chance to visit the Challenge sites, I encourage you to do so!   The Design Team samples as well as the galleries are wonderful!

To create this card:

Using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the Quilted Quotes image onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Color the image using an AquaPainter™ with Basic Gray and Wild Wasabi Classic Ink along with Stampin’ Write markers - Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Basic Gray.

Add a few gold highlights with the Stampin’ Dazzle™ Gold Marker to the stars.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock.
Add a strip of Basic Gray cardstock to the top of a piece of Wild Wasabi Designer Series Paper (DSP) and adhere it to the bottom of the card front.

Add a strip of retired Dotted Melon Mambo ½” Grosgrain Ribbon (reverse side up) to the card and mount the entire panel to the Melon Mambo card base.

Add the Wild Wasbi and Melon Mambo DSP banners (both pieces of retired DSP were mounted onto Basic Gray cardstock and the banners were created with the Hexagon Punch).

Adhere the stamped focal image panel to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Use Two-Way Glue to add Dazzling Diamonds to the snowflakes (difficult to see on the photo).

Add the retired piece of Antique Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Quilted Quotes

Ink:  Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink, Basic Gray, Wild Wasabi; Stampin’ Write Markers- Basic Gray, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi; Stampin’ Dazzle Gold Marker

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Melon Mambo, retired Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi DSP

Accessories: Big Shot™, Northern Flurry Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, , AquaPainter™, Hexagon Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, retired ½” Dotted Melon Mambo Grosgrain Ribbon, retired Antique Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware

Thanks again for visiting- have a terrific evening, my friends!

I love how you inked up your "old" stamp that looks new to most of us. :-> Every detail of your card complements the other so very well. Beautiful!
