What I Love- You!

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!  I have been working on a few projects and wanted to share a quick, easy Valentine’s Day card using the new What I Love (2016 SAB set) along with the Bloomin’ Love (Occasions Mini set).

I decided to incorporate the Create with Connie and Mary CCMC388 Color Challenge as well as the Pals Paper Arts PPA282 Sketch and if you have not had a chance to either site yet, I encourage you to do so, fabulous inspiration from all!

To create this Clean and Simple (CAS) card:

Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock and mount onto the Blackberry Bliss card base.

Ink the heart image from Bloomin’ Love with Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Using the Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers, color the flower centers as well as around the leaves/ background and carefully fussy-cut out the heart (be careful as you color since the Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink will definitely run if you touch it too much with your markers :-)).

Ink the banner stamp with Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink, stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, fussy-cut the banner and mount the banner behind the fussy-cut heart image.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Heart Framelits™ to cut a heart from Bermuda Bay and Blackberry Bliss cardstock, split the Blackberry Bliss in half and adhere behind the Bermuda Bay heart.

Mount the fussy-cut heart/banner onto the layered cardstock heart using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock and mount the panel onto the card front.

Ink the sentiment from What I Love using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Trim the sentiment panel and mount onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, adhere this panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Mount the heart layer to the card front to finish off the card.

Quick, easy and fun!!  You know me, I may have to add a few Rhinestones or Pearls but tried to leave it CAS for now :-)

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Stampin’ Write Markers- Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz

Paper: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz

Way to go Julie - I just love the detailing around the flower heart; no pearls :-) but clearly much thought went into this and it looks great! I love the embossed panel too - a timely reminder that I should dust this embossing folder down and use it myself!! Thanks for joining us over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!
