Always Make A Total Effort

Hi Friends!

I wanted to create another masculine card for my stash and decided to use The Golf Club from Artistic Outpost along with the ODBD Custom Dies- Pierced Circles, Circles and Pierced Rectangles (all available from Our Daily Bread Designs).

If you have not had a chance to check out the Artistic Outpost blog or the other challenge sites yet, I encourage you to do so!  Inspiration is posted throughout the week on the AO Blog/ AO Facebook Page and the challenge galleries have gorgeous samples as well!

To create this card:

1). On a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock, apply Peeled Paint, Brushed Corduroy and Black Soot Distress Stains onto a craft mat, spritz lightly with water, lay a piece of white cardstock into the ink, lift up and repeat until you receive the desired result.   Use a heat tool to dry each layer and once the panel has completely dried, apply Picket Fence Distress stain to tone down the color a bit.  Mount the background onto the black card front and adhere to the white card base.

2). Create the rectangular element of the sketch using the same steps above with kraft cardstock and omitting the Black Soot Distress Stain.  Once the panel has dried, repeatedly stamp the advertising stamp from The Golf Club with archival black ink.  Trim the panel and mount onto a rectangle die cut and embossed from black cardstock using the Pierced Rectangles Dies.

3). Repeat the above steps in #2 using white cardstock stamping the advertising image off once before stamping onto the cardstock.  Die cut and emboss the panel with the Pierced Circles Dies and mount onto a piece of black cardstock die cut and embossed with the Circles Dies.

4). Ink the golfer images from The Golf Club with embossing ink, stamp onto white cardstock, apply black embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool.  Fussy-cut the images and adhere to the circle created in step #3.

5). Ink the sentiment from The Golf Club with embossing ink, stamp onto black cardstock, apply white embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool.  Trim and create the banner points, mount onto white cardstock and create banner points as well before adding to the circle die cut.

6). Mount onto the card front with dimensional foam to finish off the card.

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and visit- hugs and I hope you have a wonderful week!
