Another Get Well Card- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

I love the colors from this week’s CQC95 ColourQ Challenge (isn't that owl adorable?:-)) so I decided to create another Get Well Card with the ColourQ colors and this week’s CCMC160 Sketch from Create with Connie andMary.

Again, the Design Teams from both sites have so many inspirational projects not to mention all of the submissions- enough ideas for weeks!

To create this card:

Use the Brayer to apply Early Espresso ink onto the smooth side of the Vintage Wallpaper EF and emboss a piece of Calypso Coral with the Big Shot.

Stamp the En Francais background stamp in Early Espresso onto a piece of Pool Party cardstock.  Trim to size and distress the edges with the Distressing Tool and by hand, sponge with Early Espresso ink.

Use SU! Markers in Early Espresso, Island Indigo and Calypso Coral to color the floral image from Just Believe and stamp onto Whisper White.  Sponge the edges and mount onto Early Espresso.

Layer the focal images and 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon.

Color the sentiment with the Island Indigo and Early Espresso markers and stamp onto Whisper White.  Punch out with the Decorative Label Punch and “huff” onto the floral stamp to re-moisten the marker “ink”, stamp over the sentiment.  Sponge the edges with Early Espresso and mount onto another Decorative Label piece of Early Espresso (cut in half and edges trimmed to create a frame for the first label).

Adhere to the card and attach the bow with a Mini Glue Dot.  Use the Color Spritzer Tool with an Early Espresso marker to further distress the background and focal images.
Attach the pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:   Just Believe, Sincere Sentiment, En Francais
Ink: Early Espresso, SU! Markers in Early Espresso, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper EF, 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon (retired), Pearls, Decorative Label Punch, Color Spritzer Tool, Distressing Tool, Sponge Daubers

Thanks again for visiting and thank you to those of you who have time to leave a comment- I love reading all all of them- they are such an encouragement to me :-)

Have a great week stamping!

Get Well Wishes - Another Clean and Simple Card

Hi Stampers!

I decided to create another Clean and Simple (CAS) card using this week’s PP56 Sketch from The Paper Players along with the colors from the Splitcoast Stampers CC333 Island Tango Delight (the center of the little flowers is the only Daffodil Delight used on the card) and since this card is a Get Well card, it also qualifies for the SUO24 Get WellWishes Challenge

To create this card:

Using SU! markers in Tango Tangerine, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight color the Triple Treat Flower image, “huff” on the stamp to re-moisten the ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.

Punch the flower image out with the XL Fancy Flower Punch and mount onto an embossed piece of Tangerine Tango (here I used a scrap that had already been embossed with the Square Lattice EF).

Emboss a piece of Island Indigo with the Elegant Lines EF, trim and assemble the panels.  Add the sentiment and 5/8” White Satin Ribbon to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Triple Treat Flower, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Island Indigo, SU! Markers- Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango
Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Lattice and Elegant Lines EF, 5/8” White Satin Ribbon, Punches- XL Fancy Flower, 1 3/8” Circle

Thanks again for visiting- I hope all of you have a great time stamping this weekend!

Another Clean and Simple Card

Hi Stampers!

I decided to create one more Clean and Simple (CAS) card and decided to use the Splitcoast Stampers CAS127Pink Hurricane Challenge along with their Technique TLC334 Color Block with a Twist Challlenge.

This is a quick and easy card-

Use a clear block and stamp onto Pretty in Pink Classic Ink- stamp twice onto Whisper White.

Stamp the floral spray from Love and Care with Basic Black ink,  Stamp the sentiment in Basic Black and attach the 5/8” Black Satin Ribbon.  Adhere this layer onto Basic Black and punch the bottom border with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

Spritz the card using the Color Spritzer Tool with the Melon Mambo marker.  Mount entire card front onto Whisper White and add the Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:   Love and Care, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, SU! Marker- Melon Mambo
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories:  Acrylic Block Size C, 5/8” Black Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Scallop Trim Border Punch
That’s the last card for tonight- have a great week!

Get Well Wishes- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

I love the bright colors from this week’s CQC94 ColourQ Challenge and decided to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) card using these colors along with the Pals Paper Arts PPA103 Sketch.

Both sites have an array of excellent examples from their Design Teams as well as the other submissions- if you have time, check them out!

To create this card:

Create a mask for the sun using the 1 ¼” Circle Punch (you can use a sticky note but I used cardstock this time).  Layer the mask with the circle cut out onto Whisper White and with a Sponge Dauber, sponge Daffodil Delight for the sun.

Remove the mask and hold the circle cut-out over the just sponged Daffodil Delight "sun" and with two more Sponge Daubers, apply Tangerine Tango and a bit of Rich Razzleberry for the sky area (I also had a torn piece of cardstock mask for the grassy area).

Invert the torn piece of cardstock over the sky area (to mask the recently sponged sky) and sponge Green Galore for the grass.  Sponge  a bit of Tangerine Tango over the Daffodil Delight to tone down the sun and stamp the floral silhouette image in Rich Razzleberry over the entire scene.  Sponge the edges with Rich Razzleberry and punch out using the 2 ½” XL Circle Punch.

Use the Big Shot with the Finial Press EF and emboss only a portion of the Whisper White background.  Attach the Rich Razzleberry ribbon and mount this layer onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

Emboss a piece of Green Galore cardstock with the Square Lattice EF and cut out a Top Note Die shape.  Cut the Top Note in half and adhere to the card front.  Mount the sponged scene, satin ribbon bow, sentiment and pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:   Love and Care (hostess), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Green Galore (retired)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Green Galore (retired)
Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Lattice and Finial Press EF, Sponge Daubers, , Punches-1 3/4” Circle, 2 ½” XL Circle, Word Window, Modern Label , Pearls, 5/8” Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon (retired)

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by- have a blessed Sunday!

Thanks for Blessing My Life

Hi Stampers!
I have finally had a chance to stamp a card!  My husband and I took a “stay-cation” (stay at home/area vacation) last week and I took a hiatus from stamping for a few days.  We had a wonderful time at Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park (saw a total of six bears in the course of two days- two of the bears were cubs:-).  We love the serenity of the park, the amazing vistas and of course, the wildlife.
I wanted to create a card using some of the new In-Colors so I decided to incorporate a few of the Splitcoast Stampers Challenges (CC332 and CCREW0711DF) along with this week's SSC213 Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411

To create this card:

Using a brayer, apply Chocolate Chip ink onto the smooth side of the Vintage Wallpaper EF and emboss a piece of Pool Party cardstock with the Big Shot.  Lightly spray with Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint and mount onto Whisper White.

Ink the floral image from Summer Solstice with Versamark and again into Chocolate Chip ink and stamp onto a piece of Pool Party cardstock- heat emboss with Clear EP.  Apply the Versamark/Chocolate Chip ink combination again with the leaf image and stamp onto Wild Wasabi (three images needed). Carefully cut out the images around the embossing and set aside to assemble later.

Apply Chocolate Chip ink to the En Francais background stamp, stamp onto a piece of cardstock (your choice of color- you can use this piece for a future project) and stamp again onto Pool Party cardstock (the ink will be lighter and not compete with the sentiment).  Sponge the edges and the center area lightly to distress.

Stamp the sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink and stamp the butterfly from Summer Solstice with Pool Party ink over the sentiment.  Punch out the sentiment using the Large Oval Punch and use the Color Spritzer Tool with the Chocolate Chip marker.  Adhere onto a piece of Chocolate Chip punched with the Decorative Label Punch (one from my scraps already embossed with the Square Lattice EF).

Layer the sentiment and the flower/leaves over a piece of Whisper White (I ran the WW through the Crimper Tool and sponged lightly with Chocolate Chip).  Layer two strips of Wild Wasabi (again pieces from my scraps already embossed with the Square Lattice EF) and the final layer is a piece of Chocolate Chip punched with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch.  I cut this layer in two through the center and adhered a half on each end of the panel.

Mount the entire panel onto the embossed Pool Party background and mount the card front onto Chocolate Chip.  Add the pearl to the center of the flower to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Summer Solstice, En Francais, Herb Expressions
Ink:  Versamark, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, SU! Marker- Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
Accessories:  Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Square Lattice EF, Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint Spray, Sponge Dauber, Color Spritzer Tool, Pearl

Thanks again for stopping by and blessing my life with you! I hope all of you have a great week stamping!

CQC93 Clean and Siimple Card

Hi Stampers!

I decided to use the colors from this week’s CQC93 ColourQ Challenge for this CAS card – the colors are bright and fun!  If you have a chance to check out the ColourQ, the Design Team created some excellent examples and all of the other entries are fabulous as well!

To create this card:

Stamp the Triple Treat Stamp with Real Red and Marina Mist onto Whisper White.
Using the Fancy Flower Punch, punch out the Real Red image and punch the center of the Real Red flower with the ½” Circle Punch.

Use the 5-Petal Flower Punch to punch out the Marina Mist portion and layer the center and the Marina Mist flower with SU! Dimensionals.  Add a pearl to the center of the flower.

Use the Big Shot to emboss a piece of Pear Pizazz with the Vintage Wallpaper EF and spray with Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with 70% alcohol,  Use the 2 ½” XL Circle Punch and the Decorative Label Punch to punch out the Pear Pizazz layers.  Mount the flower embellishment onto the Circle and layer the Pear Pizzazz label onto a Marina Mist layer already punched with the Decorative Label Punch.

Add the embossed panel of Peach Parfait (embossed with the Square Lattice EF) and a strip of Whisper White punched along the edge with the Eyelet Border Punch, Add the strip of Marina Mist DSP and layer the Real Red strips (from my scraps).  Mount onto Whisper White and again onto Real Red.

Stamp the sentiment in Real Red and punch out with the Large Oval Punch.  Adhere the sentiment and attach the Real Red Satin Bow with a Mini Glue Dot to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:   Triple Treat Flower, Herb Expressions
Ink: Real Red, Marina Mist
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Real Red, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist
Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Lattice and Vintage Wallpaper EF, 5/8” Real Red Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Frost White Shimmer Paint Spray, Punches- Fancy Flower, 5-Petal Flower, ½” Circle, 2 ½” XL Circle, Large Oval, Decorative Label, Eyelet Border Punch
