CC800_CC764 People Like You

Hi Friends!

I am finally having a chance to post the cards that I designed earlier this week for the Splitcoaststampers #800 Color Challenge (there were six color options for this challenge).
This card uses Karen’s CC764 Color Combination along with the Splitcoaststampers SC636 Sketch Challenge (from 2017) for the layout.

To create this card:

Stamp the retired People Like You (Stampin’ Up!) image onto white cardstock using Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink.  Heat set with a heat tool and color the image with alcohol markers.

Die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, mount onto black cardstock and trim close to the edge.

Emboss a piece of white cardstock with a 3D ornate lace embossing folder.  Trim the embossed panel, mount onto a piece of black cardstock.

Add the layered designer paper panels along with the main image panel (per the sketch).  Add the square black brads and mount the entire panel onto a white card base.

To finish off the card, use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the petals and an extra fine white paint pen to add highlights to the flower centers.

Stamp Sets: People Like You (retired Stampin’ Up!)

Ink/Mediums: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Arteza™ Alcohol Markers- Pool, Poppy, Silver and Olive; Clear Glitter Pen, Extra Fine White Paint Pen

Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, retired Stampin’ Up! designer paper
Accessories/Tools: Gemini, Jr™, Ornate Lace 3D Embossing Folder (Crafters Companion), Heat Tool, Square Black Brads

I am so thankful that you took the time to stop by- I plan on posting a few more of the color challenge cards shortly.  Hugs and I hope you have a great weekend!

CC800_CC761 Come Near To God

Hi Friends!

I have been busy this week creating a few cards for the #800 Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers (SCS).

Normally, the SCS Color Challenge consists of one set of colors but this week to celebrate the milestone of 800 challenges (wow!) they have six different color combos (one for each hostess).

I did not think I would have time to participate with all the combos but decided to make that a challenge for myself :-)  I was able to complete them all and will be posting each card in a separate post.

In order to save time (posting is so time consuming for me, lol!), I will be summarizing the creative instructions.  If you have any questions about any of the techniques or steps taken , please let me know in the comments.

This card uses the C800_CC761  Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Seaside Spray along with the dessert option of heat embossing.
I decided to watercolor the Everything's Rosy digi image (Power Poppy by Marcella)  and pair it with a heat embossed sentiment from Words of Encouragement (Stamp Simply).

The image and sentiment were die cut and matted onto navy cardstock before using the Splitcoaststampers SC303 Sketch for the layout (another one of my personal challenges is to make a card with every one of the SCS Sketch layouts- this sketch was from 2011).

Stamp Sets: Everything's Rosy (Power Poppy by Marcella), Words of Encouragement (Stamp Simply)

Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White, Night of Navy, retired Rich Razzleberry Designer Paper (from Hostess Level I Paper Pack)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine™, Printer Ink- black; Stampin' Write Markers and Watercolor Pencils- Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray; Tim Holtz™ Distress Oxide- Tumbled Glass, Clear Glitter Pen

Accessories/Tools: Gemini, Jr, retired Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, AquaPainter™, Heat Tool, Embossing Powder Tool, Clear Embossing Powder, 1” Dark Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, White Crochet Lace, Pearls

Thanks again for visiting- I will be posting the remaining four cards shortly, I hope you can check back again soon!

CC800_CC752 Sound of the Sea

Hi Friends!

I have been busy this week creating a few cards for the #800 Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers(SCS).

This card uses the C800_CC752  Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo along with the dessert option of an embossing folder.

This color combination reminded me of summer so I decided to pull out an Artistic Outpost stamp and paired it with a verse sentiment from Divinity Designs, LLC.

The main image was stamped with a waterproof ink and watercolored using ink from the ink pads in the color challenge.

The image and sentiment were hand trimmed and matted onto cardstock before using the Splitcoaststampers SC412 Sketch for the layout (another one of my personal challenges is to make a card with every one of the SCS Sketch layouts- this sketch was from 2011).

I am also linking this card to the Hand Stamped Sentiments #343 Photo Inspiration Challenge (I was inspired by the beach theme as well as the seashells and ocean).

Stamp Sets: Sound of the Sea (Artistic Outpost), Scripture Collection 9 (Divinity Designs, LLC)

Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Pacific Point

Ink/Mediums: Stampin’ Classic Pads- Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pacific Point

Accessories/Tools: Gemini, Jr™, retired Square Lattice Embossing Folder, AquaPainter™, Heat Tool, 1 ¼” Pacific Point Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones

Thanks again for stopping by- I will be posting the remaining five cards shortly, I hope you can check back again soon!
