Love You- Three in One!

Hi Stampers!

I finally had a chance to be creative again this evening and decided to participate in this week’s PP80 Sketch Challengewith The Paper Players (love the sketch Anne Marie!) along with the colors from this week's CQC122 ColourQ Challenge and the Stampin' Royalty SR109 “Valentine's Day- It's All About Love” Theme Challenge.  Again, if you have the time, please stop by each of these sites and check out all of the fabulous inspiration!

To create this card:

Emboss a piece of Crumb Cake using the Big Shot™ with the Elegant Bouquet Impressions™ Embossing Folder and a piece of Real Red Designer Series Paper with the Finial Press Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Lightly sand the Real Red layer and stamp  the background stamp from Charming with Crumb Cake ink lightly over the Crumb Cake layer.

Use Stampin’ Write markers to color the floral image (I used Real Red, Regal Rose and Basic Black) and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.  Emboss with the Big Shot™ and the Designer Label (Oval) Frame Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Carefully cut around the edge and layer onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock (cut with the Framelits™ Labels Die.

Punch out a few flowers with the Boho Blossom Punch from Real Red and Basic Black cardstock, add the 5/8” Black Satin Ribbon, Pearls and sentiment to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Charming, Short and Sweet

Paper: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Real Red DSP

ColourQ CQC92 Challenge- Two Cards, Same Colors

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create a card for this week’s CQC92 ColourQ Challenge and ended up creating two!

I am sure many of you have been in the same position- you start to create one card and then it does not seem to go in the direction that you originally planned, so you start on another.

I started off stamping the card with the oval center and decided to set it aside and create the Medallion card using one of my all-time favorite background stamps :-)  If you have the time, check out all of the other wonderful cards and projects that the Design Team created along with all of the other entries- so much variety, it is amazing!

This card was easy to create- stamp the Medallion Background stamp using Sponge Daubers ("pounce" the ink onto the stamp), a bit of embossing with the Big Shot, stamp the background stamp over the Medallion, spray the card with Frost White Shimmer Paint, punch out/layer the sentiment and add the luscious 5/8" Black Satin Ribbon!

Once the Medallion card was finished, I picked up the oval again and was determined to complete the card I originally started and used the Stamping 411 SSC211 sketch for inspiration (turned the sketch on it’s side and modified the position of the bow).  I love their weekly sketches and their Design Team works so hard each week and they create such amazing cards and projects- if you have time to check them out, you will be so impressed!

Use the Big Shot with the Ovals Die to cut out the ovals and color the floral stamp from Charming with SU! Markers in Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango.

Layer the Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi, stamp the sentiment and background stamp, layer onto Basic Black and again onto the Tangerine Tango DSP.  Add the ribbon and bow to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:   Medallion, Charming, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Short & Sweet

Ink:  Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango (Brights Designer Series Pack)

Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Lattice and Finial Press EF, Word Window and Modern Label Punch, Ovals Die, Sponge Daubers, 5/8” Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Frost White Shimmer Paint Spray, Distressing Tool, SU! Markers- Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise

I hope you like both of the cards and if you have a moment to comment- let me know which one is your favorite of the two:-)

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by-have a blessed Sunday!

Happy Anniversary- Two Challenges, One Card

I decided to use the colors from this week’s Splitcoast Color Challenge CC289 (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=all&si=CC289&what=keywords) and The Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP16 (http://www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ ).

This card is a very simple card to recreate and to me qualifies as Clean and Simple (CAS).  I stamped the small medallion circle from Charming in Baja Breeze on Whisper White and using a sponge dauber applied Crajun Craze to the center.

I used the 1¼” to punch out the stamped image, 1⅜” for the Cajun Craze and 1½” circle punch for the Baja Breeze layer.  The Wild Wasabi DP was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper EF in the Big Shot and sanded with the Sanding Block to expose the white core.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped with Cajun Craze.  The Word Window, Modern Label, Medium Oval Punches for the sentiment embellishment and added another medallion circle.

The ribbon is from my stash and matches the Cajun Craze perfectly.  Sprayed the overall card with Frost White Shimmer Paint and topped off with a few of the new pearls.

Stamp Sets:  Charming, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Cajun Craze, retired Wild Wasabi Hostess DP
Ink: Baja Breeze, Cajun Craze
Accessories:  Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Sponge Dauber, Pearls, Word Window , Modern Label Punch, 1¼”, 1⅜” and 1½” Circle Punches, Frost White Shimmer Paint Mist, 5/8” Satin Ribbon from my stash.

Thanks again for visiting.  Have a great weekend!
