ODBDSLC278 Seasons Change

Hi Friends!

For this reminder post, I designed a card using the September 2016 OurDaily Bread Designs Release Stamp Set, Seasons Change along with the coordinating Wheelbarrow Die and the new Grass Lawn Die and Grass Hill Die (as well as other dies and paper from previous ODBD releases).

I am also linking this card to the Word Art Wednesday #248-#249 "Anything Goes" Challenge and hope you will take the time to visit their site as well- fabulous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Die cut a piece of ODBD Ephemera Essentials 6x6 Paper Pad with the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies mount onto a piece of white cardstock, trim close to the die cut edge and mount into the pear card base.

Using the ODBD Lavish Layers Die, die cut the frame of the die with white cardstock, keep the cardstock in the frame, position all of the remaining dies from the set into the frame and emboss the cardstock.

Layer the embossed white panel onto the card front.

Ink the ODBD Seasons Change sentiment with archival black ink and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock, die cut and emboss with the ODBD Filigree Frames Dies and adhere to the card front.

Stamp the wheelbarrow image from the ODBD Seasons Change stamp set with archival black ink onto white cardstock, die cut and emboss the image with the ODBD Wheelbarrow Die.

Color the wheelbarrow image with watercolor pencils and add shimmer with a clear glitter marker to the flowers.

Die cut the Grass Hill Die and Grass Lawn Die from green cardstock and layer onto the card front.

Die cut and emboss a piece of polka dot paper from the ODBD Ephemera Essentials 6x6 Paper Pad with the Small Bow Dies, assemble the bow and add to the card under the sentiment.

Add the wheelbarrow die cut tucking under the grass a bit to finish off the card.

We would love to have you visit the rest of my ODBD Design Team Sisters’ blogs and check out their fabulous projects:

SC610 Give Thanks for Unknown Blessings

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!  It’s time for the new Splitcoaststampers’ SC610 Sketch Challenge and I decided to create another card with the September 2016 Our Daily Bread Designs Release Stamp Set, A-Maize-ing along with the coordinating ODBD Indian Corn Die.

If you have not already visited the above challenge sites, I hope you will have a chance to do so- fabulous inspiration from my Design Team "Sisters" at the SCS Sketch Gallery as well as the wonderful Word Art Wednesday and The Paper Players challenge sites!

To create this card:

Emboss a piece of rust colored cardstock with the Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD) Vintage Flourish  Pattern Die, trim a bit on the edges and mount onto a piece of pear cardstock.

Die cut and emboss a piece of pear cardstock with the ODBD Pierced Rectangle Dies, cut the panel in half (the cut area will be covered by the vertical strips), mount onto the card front in the center (per the sketch) and add a strip of rust satin ribbon (wrapping the ends of the ribbon behind the panel).

Mount the layered background panel onto the card base.

Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD Trellis Die and mount onto the card front centering the ribbon in the middle of the die.

Ink the ODBD A-Maize-ing Stamp Set image with archival black ink and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock , die cut and emboss with the coordinating ODBD Indian Corn Die.

Color the stamped image with colored pencils and add white highlights with an extra fine white paint pen.

Stamp the sentiment from the ODBD A-Maize-ing Stamp Set with archival black ink, die cut and emboss with the ODBD Double Stitched Rectangle Dies, then re-insert the die cut along one edge back into the die (matching up the stitching on the top and bottom) to die cut and emboss once more.  FYI- this allows you to create a narrow rectangle (again, per the sketch).

Mount the sentiment onto a piece of rust cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of pear cardstock.

Per the sketch, trim and create the two additional rectangles, each a bit longer than the sentiment panel- the plaid and polka dot pattern from the ODBD Birthday Brights 6x6 Paper Pad.

Mount the polka dot layer onto rust cardstock, trim and layer onto pear cardstock.

Mount the plaid layer onto pear cardstock, trim and adhere this layer to the card front.

Mount the layered sentiment panel directly onto the polka dot layer, add dimensional foam behind the polka dot layer and adhere the entire panel to the card front.

Mount the stamped/die cut Indian Corn image with dimensional foam onto the sentiment layer and add the pearls to the corners to finish off the card.

This was a fun sketch to work with this week- I hope I have inspired you to pull out your supplies and come join in on the fun with us at Splitcoaststampers :-)

Thanks again for visiting- hugs and have a blessed week, my friends!

ODBB August 2016 Mid-Month New Release Reminder

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!  Today we are taking a look back at the Our Daily Bread Designs August 2016 Mid-Month Release!  These stamps, dies and papers are perfect for summer, nautical and masculine cards, scrapbook pages and 3-D projects!

I know that you will not want to miss out on the inspiration from the rest of the Breadbaskets and we would love to have you visit each of our blogs as well as the ODBD blog- please see more details below...

My first card features the new You Anchor Me (Stamp/Die Duo-Clear Stamps) along with the Flourished Star Pattern Die, Ornate Ovals Dies, Ovals Dies, Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and the new By The Shore Collection 6x6 Paper Pad. I added a piece of rope that I "upcycled" from a shipping package as well and used the  Leafy Edged Border Dies a guide to create the sloping angles for the paper layers :-)

I think that this card could be perfect for an encouragement for either a guy or a gal, don’t you?

My husband and I love watching birds and even though we do not have a chance to see pelicans that often, it was fun to color this image and recall the times that we have visited areas where pelicans were hanging around :-)  In fact, until I "googled" for images of pelicans, I did not realize how many different types of pelicans there are in the United States- I chose a white pelican for my image today.

I had so much fun designing these cards with the August 2016 Mid-Month Release and know you will as well!! I hope you will take the time to visit the rest of my Breadbasket Design Team Sisters to check out their gorgeous creations!

A Look Back at the August 2016 ODBD Release

Hi Friends!

Today we are taking a look back at the Our Daily Bread Designs August 2016 Release on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog today- what a fabulous release!!

My card features the new ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Die Duo-Clear Stamps) along with the new ODBD Flower Lattice Die in addition to ODBD Sweet As Perfume and ODBD You Bless Me from the July 2016 Release.

To create this card:

Cut the strips of ODBD Chalkboard Collection 6x6 Paper to fit the panels of the ODBD  Fancy Folds-Tri-Shutter 2.

Cut a square from white cardstock using the ODBD Double Stitched Squares Dies and stamp the sentiment from ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Die Duo-Clear Stamps) using archival black ink.

Cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD Lacey Squares Dies, mount the stamped  Double Stitched Squares die cut onto the frame and adhere to the front panel of the ODBD Tri-Fold Shutter 2 card.

Ink the ODBD Sweet As Perfume and ODBD You Bless Me floral images using archival black ink, stamp onto white cardstock and watercolor with the archival ink.  Fussy-cut each image, mount the ODBD Sweet As Perfume image onto the main panel using dimensional foam.

Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock using the ODBD Layered Lacey Ovals Dies, stamp the sentiment from the ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Dies Duo- Clear Stamps) with archival black ink and layer the ODBD You Bless Me gladiolus image onto an oval die cut.

Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock using the Flower Lattice Die, trim to fit onto the center panel  and right hand panel of the ODBD Tri-Shutter 2 Card, add the layered oval die cut onto the right hand panel.

Die cut two pieces of black cardstock with the Sympathy word die from the ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Dies Duo- Clear Stamps), layer the pieces together and mount onto the front panel of the card.

Add Pearls to the flower centers as well as the corners of the focal square and the Flower Lattice Die centers to finish off the card.

I had so much fun designing this card and using the ODBD Fancy Folds- Tri-Shutter 2 Card made it so easy!  I am also going to link this card to the Word Art Wednesday #244-#245 "Anything Goes" Challenge  as well as the Simon Says Wednesday "Make For the Border" Challenge (both sites have a fabulous DT and entries in their galleries).

Again, I hope you have a chance to check out the inspiration from the rest of the "Breadsticks" at Our Daily Bread Designs- gorgeous examples from all!
