CAS The Mighty God

Hello Friends!

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!

I am still working on my Christmas cards and created a group of Clean and Simple (CAS) Christmas cards using the Freshly Made Sketches FMS216Sketch along with the 4 Crafty Chicks “Non-Traditional Christmas Colors” Challenge.

Again, if you have not already visited the above sites, I hope you will take a moment to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

A few weeks ago in our Awana club, I taught a two-week lesson on the Names of Christ and Isaiah 9:6 is one of the verses we focused on for the lesson.

I just love this stamp and created Christmas cards for each of "my girls" using their favorite colors (in addition to the Elegant Eggplant, I also used Melon Mambo and Old Olive).  These cards will accompany a coordinating  Post-It® Note Holder along with a matching covered notebook as their Christmas gift this year (will share more of the project later this week) :-)

To create this CAS card:

Ink the Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD) The Mighty God stamp using Versamark™ and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, apply Stampin’ Emboss® Silver Embossing Powder, heat set with the Heat Tool and once the image has cooled, carefully cut around the frame.

Use the Big Shot™ along with the ODBD Layered Lacey Squares Die (largest square) and cut as well as emboss the die cut from Brushed Silver cardstock.  Hand-cut this square in half and adhere one half behind the focal image.

***FYI- I also cut a square of miscellaneous white cardstock to layer behind the embossed image and die so when this layer is added to the card front with dimensional foam, you would not be able to see shadows through the Whisper White cardstock :-) ****

Emboss a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock using the Big Shot™ with the Boho Chic Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, trim and mount onto a piece of Brushed Silver cardstock.

Add the polka dot embossed Whisper White panel to the Elegant Eggplant card base, add the Elegant Eggplant embossed panel and mount the focal image with dimensional foam to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  The Mighty God (ODBD)

Ink:  Versamark™

Paper: Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Brushed Silver

Accessories: Big Shot™, Layered Lacy Squares Die (ODBD), Boho Chic and retired Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Embossing Buddy®, Stampin’ Emboss® Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

Thanks again for visiting- I hope you have a fabulous week, my friends!

Sing to the Lord- Faith is Knowing that God Will :-)

Hi Stampers!

I hope all of you are having a great weekend so far!  My husband and I were able to go to Shenandoah National Park on Friday- it was a glorious day!  We love the vistas and viewing God's handiwork from the mountain- just gorgeous!!

With that trip in mind, I wanted to create a card for this week's Our Daily Bread Designs Shine the Light ODBDSLC248 “Anything Goes” Challenge using two stamp sets I had not had a chance to ink up yet- Sing for the Lord and God Quotes.

We love watching birds and the bird image in Sing for the Lord appears to be a finch so I decided to create a male American Goldfinch :-)

Again, if you have not visited the ODBD challenge site yet, I hope you will find time to do so- fabulous Design Team samples and as well as their gallery!!

This card was a bit time consuming due to the “fussy cutting” but it is not too difficult to create:

Ink the images using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock (stamp a few extra blossoms).

Color the bird image using an AquaPainter™ with Daffodil Delight Classic Ink along with markers for the rest of the bird (as well as the blossoms)- Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Tip Top Taupe and Mossy Meadow.

Carefully cut out ("fussy-cut") the branches, blossoms and gold finch image and set aside.

Use the Big Shot™ with the ODBD Layered Lacey Square Die to cut out the sentiment and run the die back through the machine with the silicone mat and texture plate to emboss the die cut as well.

Use the Big Shot™ to emboss a piece of Vellum with the Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder (I had this piece already pre-embossed in my stash) and adhere the embossed vellum to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Trim the panel, add the ODBD Beautiful Borders embossed and die cut Whisper White piece along with a strip of 5/8” Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Trim the panel and mount onto the Pretty In Pink card base.
Add the sentiment panel, bird and blossoms along with the pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: ODBD Sing to the Lord, God Quotes

Ink:  Stāz-On® Jet Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow, Tip Top Taupe

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Big Shot™, ODBD Layered Lacey Square Dies, ODBD Beautiful Borders Dies, 5/8” Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you have a fantastic day!

CAS Floral Get Well- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create a card for the Ann’s Clean and Simple (CAS) PP196 Floral Theme Challenge at The Paper Players along with the Friday Mashup! FM160 Get Well Challenge (use the sketch or create a Get Well project or Mash It Up and create a Get Well project with the sketch :-))

I know that this card may have more layers than the normal CAS card but it is CAS to me :-)

Both sites have wonderful Design Teams and inspiration from all of their entries- hope you have a chance to check them out!

To create this card:

Use Tuxedo Memento™ Black ink to stamp the floral image from Simply Sketched onto Whisper White cardstock.  Color using the new Stampin’ Blendabilities- Coastal Cabana Collection for the petals and the Old Olive Collection for the stems.

Create the shadows using the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write marker and add a few white highlights using the Chalk Marker.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Chalk Talk Framelits™ to cut out the floral shape and also cut the same size shape from Old Olive and Basic Black cardstock.  Cut the Old Olive and Basic Black frames in half and adhere behind the focal image.

Use the Big Shot™ to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Chevron Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and layer onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment from Express Yourself using Tuxedo Memento™ Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the 1” Circle Punch.  Layer onto a 1” Circle of Old Olive and Basic Black cardstock and adhere to the side of the floral panel.

Add a strip of 5/8” Basic Black Satin Ribbon and the double ribbon bow to the bottom of the image.

Mount the horizontal strip of Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP) onto Basic Black cardstock and mount onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Use the Big Shot™ with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss the panel and mount onto the Whisper White card base.

Add the focal image panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Simply Sketched, Express Yourself (both 2013-2014 Hostess Sets)

Ink:  Tuxedo Memento™ Black, Stampin’ Blendabilities- Coastal Cabana and Old Olive Collections, Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker, Chalk Marker

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Old Olive, Eastern Elegance DSP

Accessories: Big Shot™, Chevron and Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Chalk Talk Framelits™, 1” Circle Punch, retired 5/8” Basic Black Satin Ribbon

SUO97- Celebrate with Something Yummy!

Hi Stampers!

I thought of our current sets with cakes, coffee  and tea but chose to use a non-traditional stamp along with a sneak peek of one of the new In-Colors to create my stacked cake :-)

I hope you will have the time to visit and check out the rest of the fantastic Design Team projects at both sites and use your Stampin’ Up! Only products to come join in on the fun!

To create this card:
Repeatedly stamp the image from Lovely Romance using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Carefully cut out the pieces and cut one of the images down to two “flowers” and the other to one “flower”.
Use the Big Shot™ with the retired Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and mount onto the Blackberry Bliss card base.
Also emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock using the Pretty Print Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Layer both onto pieces of Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
Using a 1 ¾” Square Punch to punch out a piece of the Moonlight Designer Series Stack and layer the Dotted Scallop Punch piece behind to create the element for the sketch (punched from Blackberry Bliss cardstock).
Using Silver Foil paper, create the cake stand (I used a scrap remaining from the  Finishing Touches Framelits™ for the top portion, a scrap vertical strip for the center and bottom and a 1” Circle punched piece cut in half for the rounded areas at the top and bottom).  Use the Big Shot™ with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss all of the pieces and glue together to create the stand.
Layer the cake pieces alternating with strips of Silver Foil paper to create the stacked cake onto the Perfect Polka Dot Whisper White panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.  Use the Scallop Trim Border Punch along with Silver Foil paper, trim and add to the silver layers.  Add the Rhinestone strips to the top of the stamped images and Pearls to the Scallop Trim and centers of the flowers.
Layer the DSP piece, Pretty Print embossed Smoky Slate panel to the card base. Add the cake image panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and add the 3/8” Bllack berry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon Double Bow.
Stamp the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, punch out using the 1” Circle Punch and punch another 1” Circle to cut in half and layer behind the sentiment.
Add the Rhinestones below the sentiment and a few Pearls to the lower left hand corner to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets: Lovely Romance, Express Yourself (2013-2014 Hostess Set)
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate, Silver Foil, Moonlight DSP Stack
Accessories: Big Shot™, Perfect Polka Dot, Pretty Print, retired Lacy Brocade, retired Square LatticeTextured Impressions™ Embossing Folders; Punches: 1” Circle, Scallop Trim Border, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border;  3/8” Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Rhinestones

Friend to Friend- A Fun Color and Sketch Combo

Hi Stampers!!

I decided to try the bright, fun colors from this week’s CQC211 ColourQ Challenge and actually ended up creating two cards- this is my first attempt and also incorporates the fabulous CCMC273 Create with Connie andMary Sketch Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to visit either site yet, I would highly recommend stopping by and checking out all of the different Design Team projects as well as the many other ideas from the weekly participants.

To create this quick CAS card:

Stamp the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes using Basic Black Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out using the Word Window Punch.

Using the Big Shot™ emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Chevron Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and use the 2 ½” XL Circle Punch to punch out eh circle element for the sketch. Adhere to a piece of Basic Black cardstock and again to a piece of Strawberry Slush and finally onto the Basic Black card base.

Punch the flower from an embossed piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock (using the Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder) and the Pansy Punch to punch out a piece of embossed Whisper White cardstock (using the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).

Attach the flower layers together, add the Pumpkin Pie button to the center and add the Lucky Limeade leaves (from the Bird Builder Punch).

Mount the flower in the center of the circle per the sketch to finish off the card.

Retired Soon- Color Challenge with an Old Friend

Hi Again Stampers!

I wanted to create a card using one of the soon to be retired stamp sets and In-Colors and this week's  CCMC197 Create with Connieand Mary Color Challenge was perfect!  If you have not done so already, check out the Design Team samples as well as the other entries- gorgeous!

Friends Never Fade will only be available until the end of May and I love the floral scroll and sentiment on the main floral stamp (fyi-Concord Crush will also be retiring along with the In-Colors for 2010-2012).

This card is fairly simple and combines quite a few techniques- heat embossing, dry embossing, crimping, rolled flowers and of course, pearls  :-)   I will have to come back and post more details tomorrow since it is so late…

Stamp Sets: Friends Never Fade

Cardstock:  Crushed Concord, Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, Whisper White

Ink: Versamark™, Concord Crush

Accessories: Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder- Snow Burst and Perfect Polka Dot, Designer Frame (rectangular),  Heat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss® Clear Embossing Powder, 1 3/8” and 1 ¾” Circle Punches, Crimper Tool, Pearls

Thanks again for visiting!  I hope you like this card and if you have the time let me know- will you be sad to see Friends Never Fade retire?

Have a great week stamping- God Bless!

Color and a Sketch- Another Two in One!

Hi Again Stampers!

I have one more card to share that I created this weekend using the colors from the HSSCC112Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge along with the FMS29 Freshly MadeSketch Challenge. If you have a chance, stop by and see the Design Team samples along with all of the other entries!

I decided to flip the sketch and the card was fairly quick and easy card (since I primarily used scraps :-)):

Color the large floral stamp from Just Believe using Stampin’ Write Markers in Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso- stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

Mount onto Early Espresso cardstock and again onto Pretty In Pink cardstock- add the punched corners (scraps from Herringbone embossed piece of Early Espresso and punched using the retired Photo Corner Punch).  Create the focal panel from a piece of Early Espresso (embossed with the Square Lattice EF- from my scrap bag) along with layers in Rich Razzleberry (again a scrap piece embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper EF) and Very Vanilla (embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots EF- another scrap).  Punch the edges with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

Adhere the 5/8” Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon bow (retired) and mount the entire panel onto a piece of Pretty In Pink and again onto Early Espresso cardstock.  Add the pearls and sentiment to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Just Believe, Short and Sweet

Ink: Early Espresso, Stampin’ Write markers- Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso

Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Square Lattice, Perfect Polka Dots, Herringbone, Vintage Wallpaper; Punches- Scallop Trim Border, Word Window, Photo Corner (retired) 5/8” Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon (retired), Pearls

A Rainbow Bouquet for Blessing My Life!

Hi Stampers!

Another weekend is almost over and back to work tomorrow:-))  I so enjoy my free time on the weekends and yesterday had the privilege of spending time with my new recruit, Susan (yea!) and her two oldest daughters.  We had a great day learning new techniques and some of the "tricks of the trade" - I am looking forward to spending time with these lovely ladies again real soon :-))

This evening, I wanted to create one more card and thought the cheerful HSSTC109 Rainbow Theme at Hand Stamped Sentiments was the perfect way to end the weekend! If you have not had the time to visit their site yet, check out all of the great samples of the rainbow colors- such creativity!

The most time consuming part of this card was creating the rolled flowers.  Many of you have inquired on how they were created and they are quite simple.  Below is a brief tutorial and there is a wonderful tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers describing a similar method.

This is how I create the Rolled Flowers:

Using a circle punch, punch out the number of circles needed for your card (one per flower).  FYI- For this card I used the 1 3/8” Circle Punch but you can use any size circle punch- the larger the circle the larger the flower.

Using the Crimper Tool, crimp the cardstock circles (I run the circles thru the Crimper twice, angling the circle for the second pass).

Starting on the outside of the circle, use scissors to cut a wavy line following the outline of the circle (creating a spiral until you reach the middle and leave a piece of cardstock available as a little base).  Place a small amount of liquid glue (I used Tombow Multi Adhesive) and press the cardstock flower edges into the glue holding until gently set.

Manipulate the petals and using the tip of your scissors, press the very beginning of the rolled flower edge into the center (to create a flat spot for the pearl- this is the very middle of the flower and were the spiral started).  Add the pearl and adhere the flower to your card using Mini Glue Dots.

I hope this brief written tutorial helps you- the flowers are easy to make but do take a bit of patience and time- have fun giving it a try!

As mentioned above, this card incorporates the rolled flowers along with embossed panels, satin ribbon and of course, pearls:-) .  Once the flowers were made,  the card was quick and easy to assemble.

Stamp Sets: Blessings from Heaven

Ink: Concord Crush

Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Concord Crush, Marina Mist, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron

Accessories:  Big Shot™,  Herringbone and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders, Punches- 1 3/8” Circle, XL Oval , Pearls, 5/8” White Satin Ribbon

Thanks again for stopping by and blessing my life with you!  I hope all of you have a wonderful week stamping and creating- God Bless!

Springtime Vintage- Two in One!

Hi Stampers!

Spring is definitely here this week on the East Coast and the gorgeous PP86 Spring Color Challenge from The Paper Players is perfect for this time of year!

I decided to use the color combination along with the SSC246 sketch from Stamping411.   As always, the gals at both sites have created such beautiful projects- such inspiration!  Hopefully you will have the time to visit each of their sites:-)

Actually this card has very little stamping, four embossing folders and six punches- fairly quick to create once the rolled flowers were made.

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and a piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP.  On the embossed Crumb Cake layer, emboss again using the Decorative Oval Frame.  Carefully cut out the Oval Frame (use the part of the background layer that will not show on the card).

Emboss a piece of Very Vanilla with the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder- punch out a piece with the  XL Oval Punch  and trim another piece for the central panel.  Add the Victoria Lace border with Sticky Strip at the bottom (ruffling the lace as you adhere it to the back).   Layer entire panel onto a piece of Lucky Limeade, add the ½” Crumb Cake Seam Binding and the rows of Pearls.

Emboss a piece of Wisteria Wonder with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Create the background layers, add the additional ½” Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon with Antique Brad, Tiny Tags and Rolled Flowers.

Stamp Sets:  Tiny Tags

Ink: Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Everyday Enchantment DSP, Very Vanilla

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Elegant Lines, Perfect Polka Dots, Square Lattice and Decorative Frame- Oval, Punches- 1 3/8” Circle, 1 ½” Circle, Scallop Trim, XL Oval, Jewelry Tag, Bird Builder, ½” Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Antique Brad, Pearls

Thanks again for visiting- all of you are such an encouragement to me!

CAS Everyday Enchantment- A Color and Sketch Challenge!

Hi Stampers!

My husband and I just finished watching the 136th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this evening (it is our annual Valentine’s Day tradition) and I know, I should be sleeping but I have not had time to create this week and desperately need to spend time in my craft room (I have been working very long hours at my full-time accounting job :-)))

I decided to unwind and take the time to create a quick CAS card using Ann’s PP82Color Challenge from The Paper Players along with the CCMC188 Sketch fromCreate with Connie and Mary.    Again both sites have so much inspiration!

Since this card has very little stamping- mostly the  Big Shot™ with three embossing folders, the new Framelits™ Labels Collection along with the new Blossom Punch- quick and easy!

To create this card:

Hand cut the banner from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (from the SAB catalog) and layer onto Soft Suede cardstock (hand cut around the banner shape, use the Distressing Tool along the edges and emboss with the Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).   Lightly sand with the Sanding Block and adhere the bow.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Framelits™ Labels Collection to cut a label from the same DSP as the banner and Soft Suede cardstock.  Emboss the Soft Suede label (as well as the DSP for the background) with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.

Layer the labels onto the card front, add the flower (created with the Blossom Punch from Pool Party cardstock and embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder),  adhere the center of the flower and add pearls along with the tiny labels to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Tiny Tags

Paper: Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (SAB 2012)

Ink: Poppy Parade

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Finial Press, Square Lattice and Perfect Polka Dots, Framelits™ Labels Collection, Sanding Block, Punches- Blossom, 1” Circle, Jewelry Tag; 5/8” Pool Party Seam Binding, Brad, Pearls
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this quick easy card!  Have a great week and I hope you have fun stamping!

Happy Valentine's Day! Simple Cards created with a Great Friend

Hi Stampers!

I had the opportunity to spend several hours with a good friend on Saturday and we created eleven Clean and Simple (CAS) Valentines for the children in her life.

She is a beginner stamper and loves the Big Shot so I decided to focus on embossing folders, the new Framelits™ dies and punches.

We needed four different designs (so that there would not be a duplicate card sent to the kids in the same family) and even though the majority of the cards were for boys, we still added pink and hearts…she said that her one eldest male grandchild has a T-shirt that states “Real Men Wear Pink” so we decided that they could handle the pink hearts :-))…

Cards for the "Girls":

Cards for the "Boys":

I hope you enjoy these cards- they could be modified using current Designer Series Paper and ribbon (with another theme they would be excellent for "Stamp A Stacks" or beginner classes)..

We had a great time creating these and I am looking forward to our next get-together (she is the "hostess with the mostess" and we will be having more classes in the future)..

Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper:  Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, retired SU! Valentine DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Framelits™ Hearts Collection, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Square Lattice, Perfect Polka Dots, Adorning Accents (Heart), Crimper Tool, Punches- Full Heart, Eyelet Border, Word Window, Modern Label, Satin Ribbon- from my stash

Mixed Bunch- 2 Different CAS Cards- 3 Challenges

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create a few CAS cards with the new stamp set, Mixed Bunch and decided to utilize a few of my favorite weekly challenges.  I had fun making these cards- I hope you like them!

The first card uses the FMS20 Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches “Going Long” along with the JAI103 Color Challenge at Just Add Ink.  If you have the time, check out both of these sites- the Design Team samples as well as the other entries are wonderful!

This card was quick and easy- embossing with the Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, add some DSP, layered cardstock, ribbon,  heat embossed flower and pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Mixed Bunch, Blessings from Heaven

Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Real Red DSP (retired Hostess Pack)

The second card is a simple Black and White study using the Stampin’ Queen’s SQSC24 Sketch.  This site provides a weekly challenge that is very unique and creative- they have a fabulous design team with a lot of inspiration!  I hope you have a chance to check them out as well…

Again, this card only requires a few embossing folders, a die cut, a few punches, heat embossed flower, ribbon and pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Mixed Bunch, Tiny Tags

Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black

Ink:  Versamark™, Basic Black

Having Fun with "Snow Much Fun"!

Two of the Workshop Projects- Gift Card Holder on the left
Hi Stampers!
Finally, I am able to post a few projects! :-)
I have been busy this past week with designing projects and preparing for a beginner's workshop focusing on a few simple cards/projects.
The hostess is a dear friend of mine that loves all of the cute stamps that Stampin’ Up! has to offer along with the Big Shot and the participants were all beginner stampers (including three teen girls- we had a great time and left with Dazzling Diamonds on our faces :-)).
Project #3
Since my style tends to be more vintage and shabby, I was struggling with "cute" and thought that the little guys in Snow Much Fun would be perfect!

After browsing Splitcoast Stamper's gallery and a few of my favorite weekly challenge blogs, I was able to be inspired late the night before the workshop (talk about procrastination:-)).    Also, the colors were based on last week's  The Paper Player's PP68 Challenge - since I took so long to determine the final projects, I could not finish them in time for the deadline on their challenge but wanted to share them with you  :-)
NOTE-  To punch out the snowman with the hat peeking out of the circle on the Gift Card Holder, stamp the image, color and then carefully cut out the hat along the top and down the sides only (to the rim).  Gently fold the hat down towards the snowman, then punch out with the 1 ½” Circle Punch and fold the hat back in place- quick and easy!

Another sample (not part of the workshop)
All of these items were simple to make using the Big Shot and various embossing folders, die cuts, punches, watercolor pencils and of course, "bling"!
Stamp Set:  Snow Much Fun
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Garden Green¸ Real Red
A few other samples  (also not part of the workshop)
Accessories; Big Shot™, Top Note Bigz™ Die,  3” Circle Originals™ Die, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Snowburst, Northern Flurry, Perfect Polka Dots, Punches- Modern Label, Snowflake,  1 ¾” Scallop Circle, 1 ½” Circle, Rhinestones, Pearls, 5/8” Real Red Satin Ribbon, Sponge Daubers, Crimper, Watercolor Pencils, Aqua Painter, Dazzling Diamonds

I hope you enjoy these projects and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

If you are like me and have not inked this set up, try it this week- it is  "Snow Much Fun"!

Thanks again for stopping by-  I should be able to post again soon with some other projects that are in the works!
