Three Cards- One Color Challenge

Hi Stampers!

I love the colors in this week’s Paper Players PP24 Color Challenge ( please see http://www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ for more details and all of the wonderful design team samples and other submissions).

As I thought about different designs other than Christmas, I decided to create three cards using the colors in the Paper Players challenge and since I love ribbon, they also qualify for the Pals Paper Arts PPA69 Challenge- use fabric or ribbon (see http://www.palspaperarts.com/ ).

The first card was created using designer paper, markers, ribbon and pearls. Again I refrained from my favorite tool, The Big Shot and those tempting embossing
folders:-)

To create this card:

Cut the Designer Series Paper (DP or DSP) to be sized slightly smaller than the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.  Prior to attaching to the Cherry Cobbler layer, adhere three strips of 5/8” White Satin Ribbon to the DSP.  Attach this piece to the Cherry Cobbler layer.

Color the main focal image from Just Believe with SU! Markers- Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler.  Stamp this onto Whisper White, trim and layer onto Cherry Cobbler leaving enough at the bottom for the punch border.  Punch the bottom with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, adhere entire to card front and add pearls and the bow.

Using the Modern Label Punch, punch out the sentiment frame in Cherry Cobbler.  Stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler onto Whisper White and punch out with the Word Window Punch.  Add pearls and attach to card front.

Stamp Sets:  Just Believe, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: SU! Markers- Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Modern Label and Word Window Punch, 5/8” White Satin Ribbon, Pearls

The second card used part of a top note image for the sentiment, markers, ribbon and pearls- I could not create another card without the Big Shot:-)

To create this card:

Color the dove stamp from Gifts of Christmas with SU! Markers- Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler and stamp this onto Whisper White Cardstock.

Using a portion of the Top Note Die Cut in Whisper White, trim off the serrated edge.  Layer this onto a matching piece of a Top Note Die from Cherry Cobbler.  Stamp the sentiment from Christmas Greetings in Cherry Cobbler.

Attach this to the Whisper White stamped piece and layer the 5/8” Satin Ribbon over the top of the sentiment.

Using the Big Shot, emboss a piece of Always Artichoke with the Square Lattice EF, trim and layer with the Whisper White stamped focal image.
Adhere the entire assembly to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and mount onto Whisper White.

Stamp Sets:  Gifts of Christmas, Christmas Greetings
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: SU! Markers- Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, Top Note Die, Pearls and 5/8” Satin Ribbon (from my stash).

The third card utilizes scraps from previous projects and the CAS93 (Clean and Simple) Challenge from Splitcoast Stampers (see the CAS93 gallery at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=all&si=CAS93&what=keywords) .

To create this card:

Using the round floral stamp from Just Believe, stamp in Versamark and heat emboss with Black EP.

Color the flowers and leaves with SU! Markers (Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler).

Punch out the inage with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch,  Layer this onto a punched 1 3/8" Circle of Whisper White and add the scallop circle embossed piece of Cherry Cobbler.

Layer a piece of embossed Whisper White onto an embossed piece of Always Artichoke (I had previously embossed the Whisper White piece and sprayed with it with Frost White Shimmer Paint).

Punch out two pieces with the Curly Label Punch- one from Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler.  Stamp the sentiment onto the Whisper White piece and layer onto the Cherry Cobbler.  Layer this sentiment under the ribbon and add the Rhinestones.

Stamp Sets:  Just Believe, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Finial Press, Square Lattice and Petals-A-Plenty EF, Black EP, Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, 1 ¼” Circle and Scallop Circle Punch, Frost White Shimmer Paint Mist, Rhinestones, 5/8” Black Satin Ribbon

Thanks again for taking the time to visit- have a blessed weekend!
