Merry Christmas- PP26 and CQC61 Challenge #2

Hi Stampers!
I wanted to create another card using this week’s ColourQ Challenge CQC61 ( http://colourq.blogspot.com/) and also heat (wet) embossing for The Paper Players Challenge PP26 (see http://www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ ).  Again, if you have not had a chance to check out their sites, please stop by to see all of the wonderful ideas from their Design Teams as well as all of the other entries.

I decided to use the Emboss Resist technique along with multiple layers of embossing.

To create this card:

De-static a piece of Whisper White with the Embossing Buddy and using Versamark ink, randomly stamp the large , medium and small snowflake images from Northern Hearts (Holiday Mini Hostess Level I) set from the Holiday Mini).  Heat emboss with Clear EP.  Using several Sponge Daubers- the first one with Tempting Turquoise, the second with Pacific Point, the third using Wild Wasabi and the last one with Soft Suede apply ink randomly over the snowflakes and gently wipe off the embossed areas to remove the excess ink.

De-static the cardstock again and using Versamark ink, stamp a few more snowflakes and heat emboss with Winter White EP.

Layer this panel onto Whisper White and trim allowing enough WW cardstock to stamp the sentiment and punch the border with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Stamp the sentiment using Pacific Point ink and adhere the 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon bow.

Using Versamark, stamp the large snowflake onto Wild Wasabi cardstock and layer this onto Pacific Point.  Add Rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes and along the scallop trim edge.

Stamp Sets:  Northern Hearts (Holiday Mini Hostess level I), Christmas Greetings
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Ink: Versamark, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Embossing Buddy, Clear and Winter White EP, Heat Gun, Sponge Daubers, Rhinestones, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 5/8” Whisper White Satin Ribbon

Thanks again for visiting and for all of your encouraging comments- I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

UPDATE- I was so honored to find out that this card was chosen as the "Headliner" for the PP26 Challenge!
