PP28 Favorite Color Combination Challenge

Hi Stampers!

I created this card for the PP28 Favorite Color Combination at The Paper Players (http://www.thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/).  The samples this week are incorporating some fabulous color combinations- when you get a chance, check out the beautiful Design Team cards along with all of the other wonderful entries- as usual, the inspiration abounds!

I had a difficult time with this challenge because I love all of the SU! colors, but lately  Early Espresso has been one of my favorites so I decided to focus on muted colors to allow the Early Espresso to be the focal color.

To create this card:

Using the Big Shot, emboss a Crumb Cake panel with the Square Lattice EF.

With Early Espresso ink, stamp a piece of Whisper White with the main floral image from Elements of Style and color the image with Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi SU! Markers.  Use a Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake ink to distress the Whisper White portion of the cardstock with another with Early Espresso along the edges.  Using an Early Espresso marker along with the Color Spritzer Tool to “spritz” over the stamped image.

Layer the image onto Crumb Cake and Early Espresso cardstock- punch the edge using the Scallop Trim Border Punch and add the pearl detail.

Finish off the card with 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon and the sentiment.

Stamp Sets:  Elements of Style, Thoughts & Prayers
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, SU! Markers, Medium Oval and Scallop Trim Border Punch, Color Spritzer Tool, Sponge Daubers, 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by and reading your comments brings such joy to my day!  I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
