Get Well Wishes- Two Challenges!

Hi Stampers!

I have been busy this week preparing some cards for an upcoming swap and I can not post any of the samples yet- in case the recipients may check my blog:-),  but I wanted to share one that I will not be swapping but using the same new stamp set, Button, Button.

This card is a bit different than my normal style- it has very little stamping and I did not use the emboss resist technique:-) It is a CAS card (Clean and Simple) utilizing a few punches and the Big Shot .  I decided to use the #SSC185 sketch challenge from this week’s Stamping from Stamping 411 with the Operators (http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/ ) and also a new challenge site for me- Hand Stamped Sentiments HSS Punch Challenge #50 (see http://handstampedsentiments.blogspot.com/2011/01/hss-punch-art-theme-challenge-50.html),    It is a great sketch and who doesn't love using punches?  There are so many different cards/projects  that were created by the Design Teams on both sites  and the other entries- check out their blogs to be inspired!

To create this card:

With the Big Shot and the Square Lattice EF, emboss a piece of Whisper White, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight.

Using the Fancy Flower XL Punch, punch out two flowers from Daffodil Delight.   Use the floral button stamp from Button, Button and heat emboss two buttons with Black EP on Whisper White.  Punch out the “buttons” with a 1” Circle Punch and adhere the centers to the flowers.

Use the Two-Step Bird XL Punch to punch out the leaves from Garden Green.

Adhere the Whisper White Strip over the Basic Black background and add the leaves and flowers.  Attach the 5/8” Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon Bow and add the pearls to the flower centers to cover the buttonholes.

Stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White and punch with the Curly Label XL Punch and layer another punched out piece from Basic Black behind the Whisper White (I trim off the edges on the black so it will layer properly).  Adhere under the ribbon and layer the entire panel onto Daffodil Delight.

Stamp Sets:  Button, Button and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, Basic Black EP. 1” Circle, Fancy Flower XL, Two-Step Bird XL, Curly Label XL  Punches, 5/8” Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks again for visiting- have a great week!
