PP42 Scrap Card

Hi Stampers!
I wanted to “play” with my favorite ladies at The Paper Players Color Challenge PP42 this week (http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ ) and thought that the colors would be perfect for a birthday card.
I store my cardstock in numerous ways (trays, upright holders, folders, you name it) but for the active SU! cardstock, I cut a few sheets of the 8.5 x 11 size into fourths ( 4 ¼” x 5 ½”) and store them in separate ziplock sandwich bags (one for each color- of course, I had to label them:-)).  This way, I can grab the bags with the colors I want to use and emboss, cut or punch whatever I need and put the remaining scraps back into the same bag (I used to use a binder method but have found at this time, this works the best for me).
Once I pulled out the Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze and So Saffron storage bags,  I noticed that I had several embossed panels in all of the colors already in "stock" so I decided to create a “scrap” card!
All I had to do to finish the card was to stamp the image and sentiment with Poppy Parade Classic Ink onto a Whisper White cardstock scraps, trim the focal image and punch out the sentiment.
I layered the focal image using the new Postage Stamp Punch and for the sentiment I used the Word Window and Modern Label Punch.  Adhere both with Dimensionals, add pearls and the card was finished!

Stamp Sets:  Cute by the Inch (hostess level II), Short & Sweet
 Ink:  Poppy Parade
Cardstock:   Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Whisper White, Poppy Parade DSP (hostess level I pack)
Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Lattice, Finial Press and Vintage Wallpaper EF, Word Window, Modern Label and the new Postage Stamp Punch (available 5/01), Dimensionals, Pearls
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend- God Bless!
