Praying for You- Inspiration and a Sketch

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create one more card this weekend and chose to use the Stampin’ Royalty SRC108 PhotoInspiration along with the FMS19 Freshly Made Sketch Challenge.  I love the colors in the photo and since I was still thinking about warmer weather from my earlier post, decided to add a few flowers to hurry spring along.  If you have the time, stop by their sites and check out their inspiring projects:-)

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ and emboss a piece of Whisper White, Marina Mist and So Saffron with the Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Use the new Adorning Accents Edgelits™ to cut the piece of Night of Navy cardstock.

De-static a piece of Whisper White with the Embossing Buddy®, stamp the frame from Notably Ornate with Versamark® ink, apply Stampin’ Emboss®  Navy Embossing Powder (retired), heat with the Heat Tool and once cooled, carefully cut out the frame.

Create the rolled flowers from So Saffron cardstock with the 1 3/8” Circle Punch and the Crimper Tool.  Cut each crimped circle into a spiral, roll up, glue and add a Pearl for the center.

Assemble the layers, add the Pear Pizzazz bow and Silver Brads and mount onto the Whisper White card base to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Notably Ornate, Thoughts and Prayers

Cardstock: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, So Saffron

Ink:  Versamark™

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Adorning Edgelits™, Embossing Buddy®, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss® Navy Embossing Powder (retired), Punches- 1 ¼” Circle, 1 3/8” Circle, Bird Builder, Medium Oval, Modern Label, Silver Brads, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by and the encouragement it is to me! I hope all of you have a wonderful week!

Balmy Breezes- Three In One!

Hi Stampers!

When I first saw that theme at this week’s HandStamped Sentiments HSSTC102 Beach Inspiration Challenge  my mind immediately thought of warmer weather and a cruise my husband and I took many years ago to the Bahamas years.

I decided to combine this challenge with the wonderful colors from this week’s Simply Stampin’ #44Challenge and the Splitcoast Stampers SC367 Challenge.  Balmy Breezes, a retired SU! set reminds me of Nassau and I thought it would be perfect :-)).   Again, if you want to be inspired as well, check out the Design Team samples and other entries- they are absolutely gorgeous!

To create this card:

Use Versamark™ ink and stamp the tree image into Very Vanilla cardstock.  Apply Dark Brown Stampin’ Emboss® Powder (retired) and heat emboss with the Heat Tool.

Stamp the other images in the set using River Rock and Not Quite Navy cardstock, distress the edges with the Distressing Tool, lightly sponge Early Espresso around the edges and mount onto a distressed piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock.

Apply Not Quite Navy ink directly to the smooth interior side of the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Folder, use the Big Shot™ to emboss a piece of River Rock cardstock .

Mount this panel and a piece of River Rock Designer Series Paper onto Early Espresso cardstock. Add the 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon and the sentiment to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Balmy Breezes (retired), Short and Sweet

Ink: Versamark™, Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, River Rock

Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, River Rock

Accessories:  Big Shot™,  Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Sponge Dauber, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss® Dark Brown Embossing Powder(retired), 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon(retired), Distressing Tool, Hemp Twine, Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware (retired)

CAS for Simply Stampin' Sketch#43

Hi Stampers!
I wanted to create another Clean and Simple (CAS) card and chose the wonderful Sketch#43 at Simply Stampin’ for my inspiration.
This is my first time participating with their challenge blog and I love all of the Design Team ideas as well as the individual entries- great job ladies!
This sketch has so many possibilities but I decided to let the beautiful Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper "take the stage" on this card:-)

To create this card:

With the Big Shot™, emboss a piece of the Very Vanilla with the Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.
Use the 1 1/” Square Punch to punch out five squares from the Mocha Morning DSP and mount onto Basic Black squares punched with the 1 3/8” Square Punch.

Stamp the sentiment with Basic Black Classic Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, punch out with the Large Oval Punch and layer onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock (punched with the Decorative Label Punch).

Add the 5/8” Basic Black Satin Ribbon bow and Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Sincere Salutations

InkBasic Black

Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Mocha Morning DSP

PP79 With Sympathy- Scrap Card

Hi Stampers!

I decided to create another card for the PP79 Paper Players “CAS Tag It” Challenge since (oops!) I did not notice the “CAS” part of the challenge with my first card…:-)

I pulled out my scrap bin and found a piece of an embossed panel from Lovely As A Tree and decided to create a quick, easy card with this scrap, a few pieces of Designer Specialty papers and of course, ribbon and pearls!

To create this card:

Stamp the tree image with Versamark™ ink and heat emboss using the Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss® Black Embossing Powder.

Trim a piece of Basic Black Cardstock to the size of the tag, punch the upper part of the tag using the Curly Label Punch (putting the cardstock in from the reverse) and punch the bottom layer with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch (also punch the bottom layer of a piece of Whisper White cardstock that is the same width as the tag).

Layer the DSP, Whisper White and Basic Black for the card front. Add the scrap ribbon and pearls to the bottom of the tag, add the bow and sentiment (layered with the Decorative Label Punch using the short end) to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Lovely As A Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes

 Ink: Versamark™, Rich Razzleberry

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Designer Series Paper (Neutrals Pack)
Accessories:  Heat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss® Black Embossing Powder, Punches- Decorative Label, Pinking Hearts Border, Curly Label, Pearls, 5/8” Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon (retired)

Thanks again for visiting and making my day!  I hope you have a wonderful week creating and enjoying our craft!

Friend to Friend- Two in One!

Hi Stampers!

I decided to create one more card this weekend and chose the PP79 Paper Players "Tag It" challenge along with the SR107 Color Challenge from Stamping Royalty (a new challenge site for me).  Again, both sites have fantastic design teams and the samples are beautiful- if you have the time, check them out!

The colors were a bit bold and I wanted to show that even bold colors can create a vintage style card, so once the design was determined, this card was fairly quick to create- a bit of heat embossing, coloring and dry embossing and you are finished!
To create this card:

With Versamark™ ink stamp the floral image from Elements of Style onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that has been trimmed to a tag size.  Heat emboss with Stampin’ Emboss® Black Embossing Powder. Once the embossing powder cools, color the image with Stampin’ Write markers in Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie.
Distress the edges with the Distressing Tool and use a Sponge Dauber with Crumb Cake ink to “antique” the edges.  Ink up the background stamp, Netting with Crumb Cake and stamp over the image as well.

Mount onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie DSP and distress the edges.  Attach a part of a doily from Flirtatious DSP (sponged with Crumb Cake ) and mount onto an embossed piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock (embossed with the Big Shot™ and the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).

Mount onto another piece of the Pumpkin Pie DSP (over a cardstock base), add the sentiment, pearls and bow to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Elements of Style, Netting (background stamp), Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Versamark™, Tempting Turquoise, Stampin’ Write Markers- Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Tempting Turquoise, Flirtatious DSP, Pumpkin Pie DSP (retired hostess pack)

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss® Black Embossing Powder, Distressing Tool, Punches- Modern Label, Word Window, Pearls, Sponge Dauber, 5/8” Pumpkin Pie Satin Ribbon (retired)

Thanks again for stopping by- have a wonderful week!

Best Wishes- Another Two in One!

Hi Again Stampers!

I was able to create one more card today using the colors from the Create with Connie and Mary CCMC185 Challenge along with the Stamping 411 SSC239 Sketch.  Love both of these challenge sites and their designers have created amazing projects- thanks again to both sites for all of their had work and inspiration!

Although the color combination is bright and "fruity", I decided to create a vintage card using one of may favorite stamp sets, Established Elegance.

To create this card:

Create the collage by randomly stamping the images from Established Elegance using Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait and Calypso Coral onto Very Vanilla.

Cut the focal image out using the Big Shot™ with the Framelits™ Label Collection and emboss with the Designer Label Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Use the 1” Circle Punch to punch out the three elements on the right and mount onto Lucky Limeade circles (use the 1 ¼” Circle Punch for layering).

Emboss the Lucky Limeade Designer Series Paper with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder and the Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB) with the Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Lightly sand both panels to expose the white core and lightly sponge to “distress”.

Assemble the card, add the Lucky Limeade 1/8” Organdy Ribbon (SAB) along with the sentiment, Very Vanilla Taffeta bow, pearls and brad to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Established Elegance, Short and Sweet

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade DSP, Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB)

Ink: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait

Accessories: Big Shot™, Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders- Finial Press, Designer Label (Oval), Vintage Wallpaper, Framelits™ Labels Collection, Punches- Decorative Label, Word Window, Modern Label, 1” and 1 ¼” Circle, Sanding Block, Sponge Dauber, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Lucky Limeade 1/8” Organdy Ribbon (SAB), Everyday Enchantment Brad (SAB)

Thanks again for visiting and all of your encouragement!  I hope all of you have a wonderful week and try to find time for yourself :-)

Love You- Two in One!

Hi Stampers!

“Love is in the Air” with Valentine’s Day approaching and I thought I would take the time to create at least one Valentine’s Day card (although this may be a bit feminine for my husband).

I decided to use the Friday Mashup FM42colors (I love the colors that Rita chose but I have not mastered paper piercing yet to "Mash It Up" :-) along with the great FMS18 Freshly Made Sketch from Linda.  Both sites have terrific designers and the samples are just gorgeous!  If you have the time, check them out!

Using Versamark™ ink, stamp the floral image and the sentiment from Creative Elements onto Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red cardstock.  Heat emboss using Stampin’ Emboss® Brown Embossing Powder (retired from SU! years ago- I need to use all of these colors up since I just read that embossing powder does have a shelf life).

Once cooled, carefully cut out the flowers and mount onto a panel of Blushing Bride that has been stamped with the scroll image from Creative Elements (I just love this stamp set!).

Use the Big Shot™ with the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions™ Folder and emboss a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock (I love embossed Early Espresso cardstock- it looks like dark chocolate:-)).

Assemble the card according to the sketch and add the pearls to finish.

Stamp Sets:  Creative Elements

 Ink: Versamark™

Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Elegant Lines Textured Impressions™ FolderHeat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss® Brown  Embossing Powder (retired), Pearls, 5/8” Early Espresso Satin  Ribbon (retired)

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you can “play” along with some of the weekly challenges this week!

CQC120- Two Cards with One "Quilt"

Hi Stampers!!

This week’s ColourQCQC120 Challenge colors are rich and vibrant and the inspiration photo reminds me of the 70’s (oh no, how can I be old enough to remember the 70’s…where did the time go?? :-)).

I decided to create a quilt card and the panel I made was too large for one card, so I was able to create two quick, easy cards.

The first step was to create the “quilt” panel with several squares of Designer Series Paper (I used Rich Razzleberry and Wisteria Wonder) along with Island Indigo and Bravo Burgundy cardstock punched out with the 1 ¼’ Square Punch.  Adhere the squares in your chosen design to Whisper White cardstock and emboss with the Big Shot™ using the Snow Burst Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.

Lightly sand with the Sanding Block to expose the white core on the Designer Series Paper (remember the core will not appear on the colored SU! cardstock since it has a solid color core).

For the first card, layer the quilted panel with additional Wisteria Wonder Designer Series panel, a punched border with the Eyelet Scallop Punch (use the Crimper Tool to add more texture), 5/8” Satin Ribbon bow and the embossed focal image.

To create the focal image, de-static a piece of Whisper White with the Embossing Buddy®, stamp the bee image from Nature’s Pace with Versamark® ink, apply Stampin’ Emboss® Burgundy Embossing Powder (retired)  and heat with the Heat Tool.  Once cooled, emboss with the Big Shot™ and the Oval Designer Frame Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Gently tear around the edges, attach to the card and add the pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Nature’s Pace, Short and Sweet

Ink: Versamark™, Bravo Burgundy, Stampin’ Write Markers- Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo

Paper: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder DSP
Accessories:  Big Shot™, Designer Frame (Oval) and Snow Burst Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Punches- 1 1/4” Square, Large Oval, Eyelet Border, 5/8” Burgundy Satin Ribbon (from my stash),  Embossing Buddy®, Heat Tool, Burgundy Embossing Powder (retired), Pearls

Since I still had a piece of the quilted panel remaining from this card, along with all of the other cardstock, I decided to create another quick Clean and Simple (CAS) card.

Mount the sanded panel onto Whisper White, Island Indigo and another layer of Whisper White.  Add the 5/8” Burgundy Satin Bow and adhere to the Bravo Burgundy and Island Indigo panels.

Add the sentiment and Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Short and Sweet

Ink: Bravo Burgundy

Paper: Whisper White, Bravo Burgundy, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry and Wisteria Wonder DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Snow Burst Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Punches- Word Window, Modern Label, 5/8” Burgundy Satin Ribbon (from my stash), Rhinestones

Thanks again for visiting- I had a great time making these cards plus two more for a few other challenges (I will post the other two tomorrow so I hope you will have the time to come back and check them out!)

Have a great weekend and I hope you are able to find some time for relaxing and stamping!

Praying for You- A Color and Sketch

Hi Stampers!

Another long week at work but I finally had a chance to relax and stamp!  I decided to use the PP78 colors from my friends at the Paper Players (check out their samples- they are fabulous!) along with the Splitcoast Stampers SC366 Sketch Challenge

To create this card:

Create your own Designer Series Paper using Stampin’ Write Markers in Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz to color the floral spray image from Fresh Vintage and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock. Repeat and continue to stamp to fill in the cardstock.

Ink the background stamp, En Francais with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock.

Ink the sentiment from Blessings from Heaven with Calypso Coral Classic Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.  “Huff” on the floral spray stamp (inked with the markers in the step above) and stamp over the sentiment.  Punch out with the Decorative Label Punch and layer onto Calypso Coral.

Close up of  stamped "DSP"
To finish off the card, layer the Pear Pizzazz background (embossed with the Big Shot™ and the Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder), strips of Everyday Enchantment DSP, doily from the Flirtatious DSP, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding, rolled flowers from Calypso Coral cardstock and Pearls.

Stamp Sets:  Fresh Vintage, Blessings from Heaven

Ink: Calypso Coral, Stampin’ Write Markers- Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Everyday Enchantment and Flirtatious DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Decorative Label and 1 3/8” Circle Punch, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding, Pearls

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope all of you are having a great time this week and have some time to relax and create as well!

Thank You- Two Cards, One Color Challenge and More!

Hi Stampers!!

This week’s ColourQCQC19 Challenge colors are bright, bold and fun, so much so that I decided to create two different cards utilizing the CQC119 colors along with a few other challenges!  I hope that you will take the time to visit their blogs and leave some comment “love” for their Design Teams- they work so hard at keeping us inspired and motivated each week!

In addition to the color challenge, the first card uses the sketch from this week’s StampingQueens SQSC21 Challenge along with the Friday Mash Up FM41 Challenge (Thank You card with DSP).

To create this card:

Use the Big Shot™ with the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions™Embossing Folder and emboss a piece of Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Pumpkin Pie DSP.

Also with the Big Shot™, cut a doily from the Paper Doily Sizzlit Die from Whisper White cardstock and hand trim the doily in half (this one was the second half from a previous project).

Punch a few flowers from the Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink embossed cardstock using the Boho Blossom Punch and one flower from Melon Mambo with the Blossom Punch.

Use the Flirtatious DSP and create the tag and lower layer of the background.  Assemble the card layers- add the 5/8” Basic Gray Satin Ribbon bow, sentiment tags and Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Tiny Tags
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie DSP, Flirtatious DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Paper Doily Sizzlit Die,  Punches- Boho Blossom, Blossom, Jewelry Tag, 5/8” Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, White Bakers Twine, Corduray Pumpkin Pie Button Brad (retired)

The second card also qualifies for the Friday Mash Up FM41 Thank You with DSP Challenge along with the Stamping 411 SSC238 Sketch Challenge and the Hand Stamped Sentiments  HSS100RP Pleats and Ruffles Theme Challenge (hopefully crimped paper qualifies as a “ruffle”).

To create this card:

Use Stampin’ Write Markers in Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Gray to color the floral spray image from Fresh Vintage and stamp the image onto Whisper White cardstock.  Punch out with the 2 ½” Circle Punch and mount onto a paper doily from the Flirtatious DSP pack.

Punch the border of Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie DSP with the Eyelet Border Punch and crimp both pieces with the Crimper Tool.

Assemble the layers- add the ribbon, sentiment, bow and pearl to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Fresh Vintage, Short and Sweet

Ink: Stampin’ Write Markers in Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray and Pretty in Pink

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie DSP, Flirtatious DSP

Accessories:  Punches- 1 ¾” Circle, 2 ½” Circle and Eyelet Border, Crimper Tool, 5/8” Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, Pearl

These colors did seem a bit daunting to me at first but I had fun creating the cards.  In my opinion, the second card is more my “style” but the first card will be perfect for a friend of mine who loves pink and flowers :-)

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed these cards.  If you have the time, please leave me a comment to let me know which one you like the best!

Have a wonderful week and take the time to relax and possibly create a project!  Most of all, have a great time and God Bless!

Fresh Vintage- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Stampers!

I have been admiring the inspiration photo at this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments HSSICC99Inspiration Challenge and decided to combine this challenge with the SSC237 sketchat Stamping 411.  Both Design Teams have done a fabulous job providing us with so much inspiration!

This card utilizes Dry Embossing, Heat Embossing, Distressing, Background Stamp and an Embossing Folder.

To create this card:

Ink the floral stamp from Fresh Vintage with Bashful Blue and stamp onto Bashful Blue cardstock for the pennant strip and focal panel. Stamp the pennant piece with the background stamp, En Francais with Night of Navy and distress the edges with the Distressing Tool and mount onto Night of Navy cardstock.

Use Versamark™ ink and stamp the floral spray image and the postage stamp onto Bashful Blue cardstock and apply Navy Stampin’ Emboss® Powder (retired).  Heat emboss with the Heat Tool, distress the edges of the focal image with the Distressing Tool, lightly sponge Night of Navy around the edges and mount onto Night of Navy cardstock.  Punch the postage stamp out with the 1” Square Punch and punch out a piece of Night of Navy cardstock with the Postage Stamp Punch.

Brayer Night of Navy on the smooth interior side of the Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Folder, use the Big Shot™ to emboss a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock (distress the edges with the Distressing Tool and sponge Night of Navy lightly over the edges and panel).

Mount the cardstock panels, add the sentiment, pearls and 5/8” Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon (retired) to finish off the card.

Thanks again for visiting and I hope you have a blessed week!

Thank You- Two Challenges in One!

Hi Again Stampers!!

While I had the CQC118 ColourQ colors out from my last post, I decided to create another card using the FM16 Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

This is a fairly quick and easy card with very little stamping and embossing...Not sure if I am happy with the Calypso Coral side panels- may remove those before mailing :-)

To create this card:

Stamp the floral image from Fresh Vintage using Pool Pary Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and emboss with the Big Shot™ and the Rectangular Designer Label Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Cut out around the edges of the folder and adhere to a piece of Pool Party cardstock.  Carefully cut out around the edges of the embossing folder again, creating another layered frame.

Attach the 3/8” Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon bow and mount onto another panel of Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler.

Create three rolled flowers with the 1 3/8” Circle Punch and Pearls.  Stamp the sentiment with Pool Party and Calypso Coral and punch out with the Jewelry Tag Punch.

Revised Card without Calypso Coral sides
Mount all onto layers of Everyday Enchantment DSP and Cherry Cobbler, adding the embossed panels of Calypso Coral and more Seam Binding.

Stamp Sets:  Fresh Vintage, Tiny Tags

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party,Calypso Coral

Paper: Whisper White, Calyspo Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Everyday Enchantment DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Designer Label (Rectangular) and Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Punches- 1 3/8” Circle, Jewelry Tag, 3/8” Pool Party Seam Binding, Pearls

If you have the time, let me know which one you prefer- with or without the Calypso Coral on the sides.

Thanks again for stopping by- and don't forget to have fun stamping!

Thanks for the Support!

Hi Stampers!!

I wanted to play with some of the new products that I received for Christmas and the colors from this week’s CQC118 ColourQ were a perfect!  If you have not taken the time to visit their site this week, the Design Team samples and all of the other entries are terrific source of inspiration!

When I first saw this new set, Rue Des Fleurs, I laughed at the sentiment and knew that would be perfect with this bust image.  I send this "virtual" card out to all of you for your support and am so thankful to have you and other friends in my life :-)

To create this card:

With the Big Shot™ and the Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, emboss the two panels of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and lightly sand with the Sanding Block to expose the white core.  Mount onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Paper Doily Sizzlits Die to cut a doily from Whisper White cardstock. Hand cut the doily in half and adhere to the bottom half of the card.

Stamp the image using Basic Black Classic ink onto Whisper White cardstock and color with Stampin’ Write markers in Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler.  Use the 2 ½” Circle Punch to punch out the image and mount onto two Cherry Cobbler circles punched with the same punch (offset the circles a bit to form a layer).

With the Bird Builder Punch, punch out three leaves from Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  Use the Boho Blossom Punch to punch out four flowers (the largest one was used) from Calypso Coral.  To break down the fibers of the cardstock on the flower, use the  Crimper Tool to crimp the flowers several times.  Carefully separate the layers of cardstock, use the 1/16” Handheld Punch to punch a hole in the center and insert a mini brad.  Scrunch the layers to create the flower and adhere the card with Mini Glue Dots.

Add the 5/8” Satin Ribbon bow and sentiment to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Rue Des Fleurs

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Stampin’ Write Markers- Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral

Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Everyday Enchantment DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot™, Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Paper Doily Sizzlits Die, Punches- 2 ½” Circle, Large Oval, Bird Builder, Boho Blossoms, 5/8” Satin Ribbon (from my stash)

Thanks again for all of your support- your visits and comments are so encouraging to me!  I know that we have not met in person but I read each and every comment and feel that all of you are my friends!  Thanks again for blessing my life and I hope all of you have a wonderful week!

2011- A Year in Review

Happy New Year Stampers!

I was in a bit of a reflective state today and since it is a New Year thought I would join my fellow stamping bloggers in displaying a personal favorite from each month (a Year in Review).  If you would like further details on each, click on the link below each photo and it will take you to the direct post:

January 2011- This card is quite distressed and I love the sentiment "Everyday holds the possibility of a miracle" by Elizabeth David

February 2011- This is a hybrid card that I made for my wonderful husband last year :-)

March  2011- I love nature and Nature Walk is one of my favorite sets :-)

April 2011-  A quick sponge technique combined with embossing- Clean and Simple!

May 2011A tribute to our Armed Forces and a reminder to pray for them each day

June 2011-  Two more CAS cards with the same color combination (and the dream of traveling :-))

July 2011 Several types of embossing techniques were used for this one along a new set from the 2011 catalog :-)

August 2011 Created for a friend that was moving on to a different job (this one uses a simple masking and sponging technique)

September 2011-   Another one of the new stamps sets that I "had" to have (love this bee!)  This card incorporates a punched layer central panel and sentiment that were fun to make...

October 2011-   This color combination seemed like an "unlikely trio" but after playing with the colors, I found the combination a great one (and will use it again)

November 2011-   This card was created for a "girly-girl" challenge and I had so much fun "dressing it up"!

December 2011-   This card was one of a kind that I made for my father and step-mother (they live in another state and I do not get to see them for Christmas).  I do miss seeing them and hope they enjoyed this card as much as I did creating it for them! :-)

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope each of you have a great week stamping and creating- God Bless!!
