When I first saw that theme at this week’s HandStamped Sentiments HSSTC102 Beach Inspiration Challenge my mind immediately thought of warmer weather and a cruise my husband and I took many years ago to the Bahamas years.
I decided to
combine this challenge with the wonderful colors from this week’s Simply Stampin’ #44Challenge and the Splitcoast Stampers SC367 Challenge. Balmy Breezes, a retired SU! set reminds me of Nassau and I thought it would be perfect :-)). Again, if you want to be
inspired as well, check out the Design Team samples and other entries- they are absolutely gorgeous!
Use Versamark™ ink
and stamp the tree image into Very Vanilla cardstock. Apply Dark Brown Stampin’ Emboss® Powder
(retired) and heat emboss with the Heat Tool.
Stamp the other
images in the set using River Rock and Not Quite Navy cardstock, distress the
edges with the Distressing Tool, lightly sponge Early Espresso around the edges
and mount onto a distressed piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock.
Apply Not Quite
Navy ink directly to the smooth interior side of the Vintage Wallpaper Textured
Impressions™ Folder, use the Big Shot™ to emboss a piece of River Rock
cardstock .
Mount this panel
and a piece of River Rock Designer Series Paper onto Early Espresso cardstock.
Add the 5/8” Early Espresso Satin Ribbon and the sentiment to finish off the
card.
