Another Quilt Card- Fall Colors and Five Punches

Hi again Stampers!

Here is another quilt card that I created for the Stampin’ Up! Only SUO55 Texture Challenge and used some of my favorite retired DSP- Spice Cake :-)

As I mentioned in my previous post, this card was fairly easy once I determined the design of my “quilt”- the original paper quilt was a bit over 5” x 5” and since I cut it apart, I will be able to make four cards from one quilt:-)

To create this card:

Punch out 4 squares using the 1 ¼” Square Punch from the More Mustard and Green Paisley pieces of the Spice Cake DSP and 8 squares of Very Vanilla cardstock. Fold the squares in half and cut along the fold to create your triangles.

Using graph paper (I used our SU! Grid Paper), apply 2-Way Glue and lay down the quilt squares.   This step is pretty quick and easy once the pieces are cut and ready to go :-)

After the pieces are adhered to the backing sheet, I cut the sheet in half to fit into the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder.  Emboss the panel and cut the panel again in half.

Layer the embossed quilt pattern onto Early Espresso and attach the Very Vanilla border (I “pieced” this border together using the Big Shot™ with the Finishing Touches Edgelit™).

Emboss a piece of Very Vanilla for the background and a scrap piece of the DSP (again with the Lacy Brocade EF).  Add the bow to the quilt panel and adhere to the background layer.   Add the punched sentiment and layered circle in the center to finish off the card.
