Hi Stampers!
I had a chance to play in my craft room this weekend and
decided to create a card for the Our Daily Bread Designs ODBDSLC194 Challenge
to use Amethyst, Lavender or any purple in honor of their Anniversary. I hope you will have a chance to visit and
check out the wonderful Design projects!
To create this card:
Use the Big Shot™ along with the Framed Tulips Textured
Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock,
trim and mount onto a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock and again onto a piece
of Elegant Eggplant cardstock.
Ink the John 14:6 stamp from John’s Chalkboard using Wisteria
Wonder Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Trim and mount onto a piece of Elegant
Eggplant cardstock and adhere to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.
Create the rolled flowers
from Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White cardstock (use the 2
3/8” and 1 ¾” Scallop Circle Punches- punch the scallop circles, hand cut a
wavy spiral from the outside of the scallop circle toward the center, use the
retired Crimper Tool to distress a bit, roll up from the outside edge and
adhere using Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive or a Hot Glue Gun). Here is a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers showing the rolled flower technique :-)
Create the leaves from Pear
Pizzazz cardstock with the Bird Builder Punch and add along with the rolled flowers to the card
front (I used a Hot Glue Gun).

Oh, Julie, I was just going to bed and had to take another quick look at the ODBD blog and found this BEAUTIFUL card! I love how you've used the chalkboard John 14:6 image using the beautiful shades of purple and lavender! And the flowers for the border are wonderful! So glad you've joined us again this week for the ODBD Shining the Light challenge, sweet friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteStunning. Your card speaks volumes in more ways than one. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteJulie, your cards are ALWAYS works of heart art, but this one is also an evangelical message as well! It is just so amazing to me how you can create those incredible rose flowers with just circle punches!!!
ReplyDeleteOh how gorgeous Julie! This beauty should be in a frame! Love the embossing folder you used, the lovely flowers and esp the powerful verse! Thanks Julie for joining in the anniversary celebration at ODBD!
