Monochromatic Yellow Birthday- A Color and A Sketch Challenge :-)

Hi Again Stampers!

Here is another card that I created this past weekend using the Stampin’ Royalty SR239 Sketch along with the Seize the BirthdayMonochromatic Yellow Challenge

I hope you will have a chance to visit and check out all of the wonderful Design projects and other entries at both sites!

To create this card:

Ink the retired background stamp, En Francais using Hello Honey Classic Ink onto a piece of retired Barely Banana cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock, trim again and mount onto a piece of Hello Honey cardstock and trim one more time to mount onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Create the base card from a 5 ½” x 5 ½” Square of Whisper White cardstock.  Add the background panel of Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments 6 x 6 Patterned Paper mounted onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Ink the Everything Eleanor floral stamp using Hello Honey Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Hello Honey cardstock.   Trim this panel to create the diagonal portion of the sketch and add a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock to the upper edge of the diagonal.
Create the second diagonal layer using a coordinating piece of Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments 6 x 6 Patterned Paper- add a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock to the upper angle as well.

Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and punch out with the 2 ½” Circle Punch.   Cut another circle from Basic Black cardstock using a 2 ½” Circle Punch and stamp a few of the same flowers from the Everything Eleanor using Hello Honey Classic Ink and add the circle to the card front.

Stamp the butterfly using Memento™ Tuxedo Ink onto Barely Banana cardstock and punch out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.    Mount onto butterflies punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch from Basic Black cardstock.

Create the rolled flowers from Barely Banana and Hello Honey cardstock (use the 2 3/8”,  1 ¾” and 1 ¼” Scallop Circle Punches- punch the scallop circles, hand cut a wavy spiral from the outside of the scallop circle toward the center, use the retired Crimper Tool to distress a bit, roll up from the outside edge and adhere using Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive or a Hot Glue Gun).
Punch out the leaves from Basic Black cardstock using the Bird Builder Punch, adhere the leaves behind the rolled flowers and add to the card front (again, I used a Hot Glue Gun since I had it on my desk and ready to go).
Add a few Pearls to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets: Papillon Potpourri, Everything Eleanor, En Francais and On Your Birthday (both retired)
Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Hello Honey
Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Hello Honey, retired Barely Banana, Graphic45 Sweet Sentiments
Accessories:  Pearls, Punches: Bird Builder, Scallop Circle- 2 3/8”, 1 ¾”, 1 ¼”, Elegant Butterfly

Thanks again for stopping by- I still have a few more cards to share from this weekend and will post these soon!  Have a great evening- God Bless!
