I wanted to share one more
card with you that I created today using the gorgeous Hand Stamped Sentiments HSSC191 Inspiration Photo and the CCMC315 Sketch at Create with Connie and Mary.
Again, I hope you will find
time to visit both sites to check out the Design Team samples as well as the
rest of their galleries- it always amazes me that so many ideas can come from
one sketch or color/inspiration photo!
To create this card:
Use the 1 3/8” Circle Punch
to punch out a circle from a piece of scrap paper and apply the punched circle
to the upper right of a piece of Whisper White cardstock (also create a mask
for the mountains and water line on the card using scrap paper or sticky notes).
Use a Sponge Dauber with Pool
Party to apply ink near the horizon line, add Coastal Cabana, Wisteria Wonder
and Blackberry Bliss. Repeat the
process a bit lighter for the water area under the horizon.
Remove the masks for the
mountain and horizon line, sponge Blackberry Bliss for the mountain and horizon
area.
Ink the trees from Lovely
As A Tree using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and mask before stamping onto the
horizon area. Stamp the same trees
again (re-inking with the Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto a scrap piece of
acrylic packaging or window sheet and apply with the ink side down in the “water”
area for the reflection.
Trim the panel into thin
strips per the sketch and mount onto Basic Black cardstock. Trim again into the strips for the sketch
challenge.
Mount the strips onto a
piece of Whisper White cardstock and adhere to the Basic Black card base.
Stamp the sentiment using Memento™
Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the XL Oval
Punch. Punch two additional ovals from
Basic Black cardstock and layer behind the sentiment.
Add the two strips for the
banners per the sketch- one from Basic Black cardstock and the other from Back
to Black Designer Series Paper (DSP) – both punched on the ends with the
Hexagon Punch to create the banner
Add the sentiment using
Stampin’ Dimensionals® with a few Pearls to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets: Lovely As A
Tree, Love and Sympathy
Ink: Pool Party, Coastal
Cabana, Wisteria Wonder, Blackberry Bliss, Memento™ Tuxedo Black
Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Back to Black DSP
Accessories:
Sponge Daubers, scrap paper for masking, Pearls, Hexagon and XL Oval Punch
Thanks
