You've Got This- A Simple Sympathy Card

Hi Again Stampers!!

I wanted to share another card that I created this past week using the new stamp set, You’ve Got This with the Splitcoaststampers’ CC528 Color Challenge (Soft Sky, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake- see details here and the gallery here).

Again, if you have not already done so, I hope you will find the time to visit the above site to check out the wonderful Design Team samples as well as the gorgeous gallery!

To create this card:

The main panel on this card is all one layer- again, I am trying to master the one layer style (it is my most difficult to design for sure :-)).

Ink the floral image from the new Stampin’ Up! You’ve Got This set using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Re-ink the stamp and stamp onto a piece of scrap or sticky paper, cut around the image and use as a mask for the main image stamped in the step above.

Ink the cross-hatch background stamp using Soft Sky Classic Ink and stamp over the masked image on the Whisper White panel.

Remove the mask and color the petals using the Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write marker.  Apply a second coat of Blushing Bride near the base of the petals and add shadows with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write marker.

Color the leaves with the Soft Sky Stampin’ Write marker and use the Crumb Cake marker over the Soft Sky to create a bluish-green color :-)

Ink the sentiment from Thoughts & Prayers using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and stamp onto the card front.

Trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Soft Sky cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock, trim and mount onto the Crumb Cake card base.

Add the Pearls to the corners to finish off the card.
