I wanted
to share another card that I created this past weekend using the Stampin’ Royalty SR285 Color Challenge along with the CCEE1528 “Cheer Up the Lonely” Challenge and the Splitcoaststampers' TLC536 "Splatter It Up" Challenge (see details here and gallery here).
If you
have not had a chance to do so, I hope you will find the time to visit the
above challenge sites to check out the Design Team samples as well as their
galleries- fantastic inspiration from all!
To create this card:
Using Old Olive and Tangelo Twist Classic Ink, pat your craft mat and spritz the ink with water.
Take a piece of Watercolor Paper and swirl face down through the wet ink allowing the ink to run and merge, repeat and allow to dry.
Ink the leaf image from the new set, Vintage Leaves using Soft Suede Classic Ink and stamp onto the background piece of Watercolor Paper- carefully cut out the leaf image by hand.

Stamp the sentiment from Wetlands onto the Very Vanilla card
front using Soft Suede Classic Ink, add the striped border from Gorgeous Grunge
using Old Olive Classic Ink and the splatters with Tangelo Twist and Soft Suede
Classic Ink.
Trim the panel and mount onto the Soft Suede card base.
Add a bit of Gold Metallic Thread and mount the leaf using
Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card.
Quick and easy- I will need to make a few more of these for
my stash :-)
Stamp Sets: Vintage Leaves, Gorgeous Grunge, Wetlands
Ink: Soft Suede, Old Olive, Tangelo Twist
Paper: Watercolor, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
Accessories: Gold Metallic Thread, Water Spritzer Bottle
Thanks again for visiting- I hope all of you have a great
evening!
How gorgeous! I love this beautiful design! Thank you so much for sharing it with the CCEE Stampers in their Cheer Up the Lonely challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteThat leaf is AMAZING! Congratulations on being one of our top picks at Stampin' Royalty this week with this great card!
ReplyDeleteI love this card - absolutely beautiful & simple. I want to try this technique, but I'm not sure what kind of craft mat you are referring to - could you explain? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies for your encouragement and sweet comments!! Pat- I have several craft mats that are made of silicone (one from Bo Nash - available at Amazon-http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00114RGQA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 but Ranger makes a great one as well), another was part of a set that had tools for my glue gun (also from Amazon- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004C6LMY6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01) and lately I have been using a silicone baking sheet that I purchased from QVC - see link here (http://www.qvc.com/CooksEssentials-72x24-Customizable-Silicone-Liner-Purple.product.K40992.html?upsh=1&sc=K40992-CSWB) that you can cut to size since it is 72" long x 24" wide..)....
ReplyDeleteThe silicone surface is great since nothing seems to stick to it (hot glue, gesso, crackle mediums, etc.).
Hope this helps and thanks again for taking the time to comment- hugs and God Bless!
Wow! This is so beautiful and realistic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall leaf card. I will surely try this one. Great job!
