I
am having so much fun with the Our
Daily Bread Designs September
2016 Release stamps!
Today I wanted to share another card that I designed with
the ODBD Seasons
Change and ODBD A-Maize-ing
stamp sets along with the coordinating ODBD Wheelbarrow Die (I just love how intricate this die cuts the image- even the spokes!) and several other ODBD layering dies.
I
have incorporated the Just Add Ink JAI328 “Just Add ‘P’” Challenge (P= pink, piercing, pumpkin) along with the Word Art Wednesday #246-#247 "Anything Goes" Challenge.
If you have not already had a chance to visit the above galleries yet, I hope you
will do so as well as stop by the Our Daily Bread Designs
Blog- fabulous inspiration from all!
To
create this card:
Die
cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD
Flourished Star Pattern Die, mount onto a piece of chocolate cardstock,
trim and mount onto the white card base.
Die
cut and emboss a piece of chocolate cardstock with the ODBD Lavish
Layers Die and mount onto the card front, layer with the soft pink gingham
sheet of the ODBD
Shabby Rose Collection 6x6 Paper (die cut and embossed with the ODBD Rectangles Dies-
save the scrap piece of the final step).
Die
cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD
Ornate Hearts Dies and mount onto the card front.
Ink
the wheelbarrow image from the ODBD Seasons Change
stamp set using archival black ink, stamp onto white cardstock and color the
image using a brown watercolor pencil (adding shadows without water for
contrast).
Use
the ODBD
Wheelbarrow Die to cut out the image and mount the wheelbarrow image onto
the card front with dimensional foam.
Stamp
the sentiment from the ODBD A-Maize-ing stamp
set with black archival ink onto white cardstock, die cut and emboss with the ODBD Layered
Lacey Oval Dies.
Die
cut and emboss a piece of chocolate cardstock with the ODBD Ornate Ovals
Dies, mount the sentiment die cut in the center and add to the card front
with dimensional foam.
Die
cut and emboss the scrap piece of ODBD
Shabby Rose Collection 6x6 Paper (from the step above) with the ODBD Small Bow
Dies, create the bow and adhere to the card front to finish off the card.
1 Thess 5:18a "In Everything Give Thanks" is a reminder that we, as Christians, should be thankful at all times- sometimes difficult to do during stressful or difficult situations (life can be messy:-)).
But if we focus on Christ, remember what He has done for us, remember that we are "strangers in this land" and that our eternal home will be with Christ, it is easier to "give thanks" in all things! With each passing day we are closer to His return- what a wonderful Savior and we truly do have so much to be thankful for!!

ReplyDeleteHi Julie - I selfishly seldom comment but I love all your artwork. The one-color treatment on this wheelbarrow filled with usually colorful items is perfection with each element clearly and beautifully defined. And the background and bow are perfect! You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Julie! I love how your intricate frames suit perfectly the vintage/sepia feel you have given your gorgeous wheelbarrow image and your sentiment. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week :-)
