I had a chance to
spend some time in my stamping studio this morning and created a Mixed Media card using The Outpost and Grunge Elements
from Artistic Outpost by Our Daily Bread Designs.
I wanted to play
along with a few of my favorite online challenges so I incorporated the Nance’s
PP310
Sketch from The Paper Players along with the ColourQ
CQC357 Challenge into the design.
I hope you have a
chance to visit us at the Artistic Outpost blog as well as the other challenge
galleries – wonderful inspiration from all!
To create this card:
Using the largest die
from the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies, cut and emboss a piece of pumpkin
cardstock and mount onto the black card base.
Using bright melon
ink, stamp the AO Grunge
Elements grid image along with the border image over the edges of the
pumpkin layer.
Die cut and emboss a
piece of black cardstock with the largest die from the ODBD
Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and mount onto the card front.
Ink the house/tree
image from AO The Outpost
with archival black ink and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock.
Create a mask for the
house, mask the house and apply pumpkin and melon dye-based inks for the sky
area (I used blending brushes as well as sponge daubers).
Stamp the script
image from AO The Outpost
and the large splatter image from AO Grunge Elements
with bright melon ink over the sky area.
Cut the panel and
mount the two pieces onto black cardstock, trim close to the edge and mount
onto white cardstock (trimming close to the edge as well).
Adhere the smaller
panel onto the card front and mount the larger panel with dimensional foam.
Ink the sentiment
from AO The Outpost
with archival black ink, stamp onto white cardstock, trim and mount onto black
cardstock and mount the sentiment using dimensional foam over the panels.
Stamp the leaf image from AO The Outpost three
times with archival black ink onto white cardstock, swipe the pumpkin and melon
ink pads over the images, fussy-cut the leaves and add the leaves to the
corner, building up the layers with dimensional foam.
To finish off the card, use a clear glitter pen to the sheen to the leaves and window panes.
Thanks for taking the time to visit- I had fun designing this card! Hugs and have a great weekend, my friends!
