This
is the second card I designed using the November 2016 Our Daily Bread
Designs “Shining
the Light” ODBDSLC280 Sketch Challenge!
Just
a reminder that you have until November 27, 2016 to join us for a chance
to be spotlighted for the Shining the Light award or to win a $15 ODBD gift
certificate (one random participant will be chosen). To be spotlighted
for the Shining the Light Award, you must use ODBD stamps (or stamps from our
sister companies: North Coast Creations or Artistic Outpost).
I
designed this card with a few items from the ODBD
November 2016 Special Holiday Release- Christmas
Ornament Clear Stamp Set along with the coordinating Christmas
Ornament Die plus the new Holly Jolly
Collection 6x6 Paper Pad.
If
you have not visited the rest of my ODBD Design Team Sisters’ blogs and checked
out their fabulous projects yet, I hope you will find time to do so:
I am also linking this card to the Double D "Traditional Christmas" Challenge as well as the Word Art Wednesday #256-#257 "Anything Goes" Challenge.
To create this card:
Cut a few strips of the ODBD Holly Jolly Collection 6x6 Paper Pad (I used the holly swirl pattern for this card), apply vintage photo distress ink to two of the panels with a water brush, dry with a heat tool, distress the edges a bit and sew onto a piece of green cardstock with a zig zag stitch.

Mount
the panel onto the white card base and add the split paper doily.
Ink
the sentiment from the ODBD
Christmas Ornament Clear Stamp Set with archival black ink, stamp onto a
piece of green cardstock, create the banner by hand, distress the edges and
mount onto the card front.
Stamp
the poinsettia ornament image from the ODBD
Christmas Ornament Clear Stamp Set with archival black ink onto white
cardstock, color with distress inks along with a water brush as well as water
based markers and add white highlights with an extra fine white paint pen.
Die
cut the ornament with the ODBD
Christmas Ornament Die and mount onto the card front with dimensional foam.
Add
the red ribbon bow along with pearls to finish off the card.
Thanks
again for taking the time to stop by! We
hope you will be able to join us for the ODBD Shining the Light ODBDSL280 Sketch Challenge!
Hugs
