Floral Greetings- Sending Prayers Your Way

Hi Sweet Friends!

Later today Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps will be announcing their February 2017 Release and this sneak peek card was created with the new SNSS Floral Greetings Clear Stamp Set (designed by Graciela Chavez, Graciellie Design).

I absolutely love the gorgeous floral images in this set as well as the beautiful fonts on the sentiments- so many occasions are covered in addition to thank you, sympathy, get well and praying for you!

For the design of this card, I decided to play along with a few online challenges.  The colors were inspired by the FUSION “Interlocking Hearts” Card Challenge and I am also linking to the Word Art Wednesday #268-#269 "Anything Goes" Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to check out the SNSS Blog or SNSS Facebook page yet or the other two challenge sites, I highly encourage you to do so!

Inspiration is posted throughout the week on the SNSS Blog as well as the SNSS FB page from my sisters on the SNSS Creative Team and both the FUSION Card Challenge along with the Word Art Wednesday Challenge have fabulous Design Teams and galleriesl!

To create this card:

1). Ink the SNSS Floral Greetings large blossom image with embossing ink onto a piece of prepared white cardstock, apply black embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

2). Color the image with water based markers using a water brush, directly applying ink for darker areas and softening with water (but be careful not to add too much water).  Add details with the Sharpie Extra Fine White Paint Pen.

3). Die cut the image with a stitched rectangle die, mount onto black cardstock, trim close to the edge.

4). Use a stencil with a stencil brush to apply light pink ink to a piece of white cardstock, stitch this panel to a piece of black cardstock with a sewing machine using a zig zag stitch, mount onto another piece of white cardstock, trim and mount onto a black card front. Mount the entire panel onto the white card base.

5). Stitch a piece of red patterned paper onto a piece of black cardstock and adhere to the front of the card and add the watercolor focal image panel with dimensional foam.

6). Ink the sentiment from the SNSS Floral Greetings Clear Stamp Set and stamp onto a prepared piece of black cardstock, apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool, Create the banner and mount onto the card front (using dimensional foam on the portion that hangs off to the side).

7). Add the triple red taffeta bow with the black button to the upper left corner and a few pearls to the lower right corner to finish off the card.

This card was so much fun to design and create! I hope I have inspired you and that you will stop by again soon- hugs and have a blessed weekend, sweet friends!
