ODBDSLC286 Thanks for All You Do

Hi Friends! 

Today we are reminding you that it is not too late to join in on the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light ODBDSLC286 “Just Say Thanks” Challenge and I decided to create another card using the May 2017 ODBD Release Stamps and Dies. 

I incorporated the Splitcoaststampers TLC637 “Dutch Fold” Challenge (see information here with video and tutorial links) along with the Word Art Wednesday #282-283 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

This is my first Dutch Fold Card (see tutorial here for a Double Dutch Fold at Splitcoaststampers).  I modified the fold instead of cutting the center cut at the bottom for a Single Dutch Fold- this was definitely a fun fold to try and I am sure it will not be my last one :-)

To create this card:

1). Ink the Notebook Paper Stamp/Die Duos image with navy ink and stamp onto white cardstock,  Die cut and embossed with the coordinating Notebook Die.

2). Ink the Seeds of Knowledge sentiment with archival black ink and stamp onto the Notebook Paper image.

3). Die cut and emboss a piece of navy cardstock and silver foil with the Clipboard Set Dies.  Create the clipboard by layering the Notebook Paper stamped image and silver clip, set aside.

4). Using red cardstock, create the 4 ½” x 8 ½” card base, score at 4 ¼” and score one side at 2 ¼”.  Trim the top portion off the front of the card along the score mark per the tutorial.

5). Die cut and emboss a piece of Americana Quilt Collection 6x6 Paper Pad and mount onto the lower part of the card front.  Add a strip of navy cardstock to cover the cut edge.

6). Stamp the sentiment from Seeds of Knowledge using archival black ink into a piece of 4” x 4 ¼” white cardstock, adhere to the center of the card.

7). Mount the layered clipboard die cut using dimensional foam to cover the sentiment and finish off the card.
