Faith, Hope and Love

Hi Friends!

I am sharing another fun card today created with the Prim Blessings Clear StampSet (designed by Diane Zechman) from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

If you have not had a chance to visit the above challenge sites or SNSS Blog/FB Page yet, I encourage you to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). On a piece of white cardstock, stamp the sunflower images from Prim Blessings with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.  Watercolor the flowers with water-based markers and fussy-cut out each sunflower.

2). Layer the pieces of designer paper (per the sketch) onto suede cardstock, looping some knotted twine onto the one background panel.

3). Ink the sentiment from Prim Blessings with suede ink, stamp repeatedly onto a piece of light brown designer paper (offsetting the sentiment as you re-ink and stamp down the panel).

4). Add the stamped panel directly to the card front and the fussy-cut sunflowers with dimensional foam.

5). De-static a scrap piece of vanilla cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the sentiment from Prim Blessings with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, heat emboss with clear embossing powder and once cooled, create the banner.  Color the little hearts on the sentiment banner with a cherry marker and use a suede marker for the hearts on the hand stamped panel.  Mount the sentiment banner to the card front with dimensional foam.

6). Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the flower centers and petals and glossy accents all of the hearts to finish off the card.

  1. Beautiful card, Julie. I love sunflowers. They're always such a happy looking flower. That's the first thing I noticed about your card and the, of course, the lovely details pulled me in. All those lovely pieces of Designer Paper work so well together. I had thought the brown piece with the repeated sentiment was also Designer Paper, you stamped it so beautifully. Great card! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

I don't know what it is about Sunflowers, but they just instantly put a smile on one's face. Yours are especially beautiful and your use of the sketch challenge at SCS just sets them off perfectly.
