Hi
Friends!
I
have had a great time creating cards
with the February release stamp set, Spring Blossoms from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.
I
love the pretty floral images in the Spring Blossoms Clear Stamp Set as
well as the sentiments – so versatile!
Also,
don’t forget for every $60
purchase (not including discounts or shipping), you can receive the February stamp of the month- Hoppy Easter- isn’t it cute!!
Plus, Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps has free shipping and handling on your $75 order (in the
US) so this is a great deal!!
I incorporated The Sketch File Jan18 Sketch Challenge, the Watercooler Wednesday #156 “Feminine Anything Goes” Challenge
along with the Word Art Wednesday #320-#321 “Anything Goes” Challenge.
If you have not had a chance to visit the
above challenge sites or the SNSS Blog/FB Page yet, I encourage you to do so- gorgeous
inspiration from all!
To
create this card:
1).
De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the daffofil
image from Spring Blossoms with archival black
ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool.
2).
Once the embossing has cooled, color the image with water-based markers (see
colors below in the card recipe) and fussy-cut the image.
3).
De-static a scrap piece of black cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp
the Spring Blossoms sentiment with
embossing ink, apply white embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool. Create the flag banner by hand and set aside.
4).
Die cut the remaining elements of the sketch from designer paper with stitched
dies (I wanted to use up some of my massive stash of dsp). Mount onto black or white cardstock, trimming
close to the edge and mount onto a white card front.
5).Add
the fussy cut daffodil and sentiment with dimensional foam and add the light
pink triple ribbon bow.
6).
Finish off the card using a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the flower
petals, a white paint pen to add highlights to the flower center and a few iridescent
sequins to the card front.

ReplyDeleteOh Julie, what a wonderfully bright and cheery card you've created! I love the colours in the background and the way you've overlapped the patterns. The daffodil is breath-taking! Love the way it demands attention. You've added just the right finishing touch with that lovely soft pink bow and those sequins, too.
