Hi Friends!
Today I am sharing a quick card using a few Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps- the 11th Birthday Throwback Set:Cocoa’s Cups and Texture Tiles 4.
I love participating with online challenges and incorporated the #298 CAS(E) ThisSketch Challenge for the layout and am also linking to the Simon Says Wednesday “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” Challenge and the Double Trouble #15 "Sweet Treats for the Holidays and More" Challenge.
If you have not had a chance to visit the above challenge sites or the SNSS Blog/FB Page yet, I encourage you to do so- fabulous inspiration from all!
Also, don’t forget- Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps is continuing to celebrate their 11th birthday this month! This week’s special is 11% off Sentiment, Fall and Christmas stamps plus with any net order of $60 (US), you can choose one of four top selling stamp sets as your November Stamp of the Month-hurry, though- both offers are good through November 30th!
To create this card:
1). De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the Cocoa image from the 11th Birthday Throwback Set:Cocoa’s Cups with Versafine™ Onyx Black Ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
2). Once the image has cooled, watercolor with water-based markers and fussy-cut the image. Die cut a white circle with a stitched circle die, mount onto another die cut circle from light aqua cardstock and red cardstock, layer together before mounting the fussy-cut image with dimensional foam.
3). On a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock, ink the texture image from Texture Tiles 4 with Pool Party Classic Ink, stamp repeatedly down the right-hand side of the panel. De-static the lower left-hand area of the panel witth an embossing powder tool, stamp the sentiment from Cocoa’sCups with Versafine™ Onyx Black Ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
4). Mount the panel onto a piece of Pool Party cardstock, trim and mount onto Real Red cardstock, trim once more and mount onto the white card base.
5). Add the vertical red and white cardstock strips (per the sketch), mount the layered Cocoa’s Cups image directly onto the card front.
6). Finish off the card with a few red sequins and add a bit of shimmer to the snowflake cup area with a clear glitter pen (hard to see in the photo).
