Sun Ripened

Hi Friends!

I am sharing another card that was designed with a retired Stampin’ Up! set, Sun Ripened along with a verse from the current stamp set, Words of Encouragement from Stamp Simply.

In addition to my personal goal to ink up my “unloved” stamp sets (I have not inked up the Sun Ripened set in years), I have a personal goal to create a card for each of the over 800+ sketches at Splitcoaststampers (I used the SC187 Sketch for the layout on this card).

I am also participating with online challenges and will be linking to the FUSION 08/06 “Fruit” Challenge (I was inspired by the colors and fruit images) along with the Word Art Wednesday #452-#453 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to check out the above challenge sites yet, I encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the Sun Ripened berry image with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, stamp onto the prepared cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, color the image with water based markers and die cut with a stitched rectangle die.  Mount the image onto black cardstock and trim close to the edge.

Emboss a piece of blackberry designer paper with a brocade embossing folder, trim into three panels and mount onto black cardstock. Lightly sand with a sanding block.

Trim a piece of white cardstock to approx. 4” x 3.75” and mount onto black cardstock, trim close to the edge.

De-static the bottom right hand corner of a piece of 4” x 5.25” white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the verse sentiment from Words of Encouragement (Stamp Simply) with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim close to the edge.

Add the layered panel with the three vertical strips onto the card front, adhered a strip of black seam binding and wrap the ends of the seam binding behind the panel before adhering to a white card base.

Mount the focal image with chipboard (or dimensional foam) and add the seam binding bow.

Use a clear gold glitter pen to add shimmer to the raspberries and a few pears to the corners to finish off the card.
