Hi Friends!
Today I am sharing a quick Christmas card designed with the new stamps and paper from the October release along with other stamps and supplies from Stamp Simply!
Look at all those gorgeous stamps and coordinating
dies in this new release!
I chose the Scripty
Background Minis 2 set for my card- I love the fonts used as well as
the four different verse sentiments in each stamp set. The Scripty
Background Minis are available individually- Scripty
Background Minis 1 and Scripty
Background Minis 2 or as a bundle (both
sets in the bundle are pictured below).
Also, I absolutely love the new Sending Joy 6x6 paper pad from Studio Light- so many pretty patterns for quick Christmas cards! Add a stamped
sentiment and a bit of layering and you are finished!
I will be linking this card to the Word Art Wednesday #513- #514 “Anything Goes” Challenge as well as the Watercooler Wednesday #326 “Helen’s All About Occasions” Challenge. I am so far behind on creating Christmas cards, I am thankful that this one was fairly quick and easy :-)
If you have not had a chance to visit the Stamp
Simply blog or the other
challenge sites yet, I encourage you to do so- fabulous inspiration from all!
To create this card:
De-static a piece of the Sending Joy designer paper with an embossing powder tool and trim to approx. 4” x 5 ¼”.
Ink the Joy to the World background stamp from
the Scripty
Background Minis Set 2 with Versamark
ink, stamp repeatedly (offsetting as you stamp) across the background,
apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Once the embossing has cooled, use a clear glitter
marker to add shimmer to the trees and snow line, set aside.
De-static a piece of white cardstock with an
embossing powder tool, stamp the reindeer and Joy to the World ornament image
from Farmhouse
Christmas with Versafine
Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Once the embossing has cooled, carefully fussy-cut around the images.
Layer onto
another piece of white cardstock and fussy cut again (this gives the pieces a
bit more strength).
Mount onto
a piece of black cardstock and adhere to a white card base.
Add the reindeer image with dimensional foam and
a looped bow from the silver cord to finish off the card.
