Let Us Come Before Him

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing another quick card featuring the brand new Stamp Simply 6x6 paper pad- Coffee or Tea

As I mentioned before, I love the pastel colors with the coffee theme as well as the pretty gingham, lace doily and other patterns in this new paper pad!

I paired the beautiful Coffee or Tea paper with a sentiment from the Give Thanks stamp set along with circle die, banner dies, crochet lace and pearls (all from Stamp Simply)!

This card was another fairly easy card to create, and I was able to incorporate another SplitcoaststampersSketch (SC458) into the layout, woohoo! FYI- I have a personal goal to create one card for each of their over 1,000 sketch challenges, I am half way there :-).

I also enjoy playing along with other online challenges and will be linking this card to the Double Trouble #175 "Any Way You Punch It" Challenge (I used two dies- a circle and a banner die versus punches) and the Word Art Wednesday #667-#668 "Anything Goes" Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to check out the rest of my Sister Design Team cards on the Stamp Simply blog, or the other challenge sites yet, I hope you take the time to do so- fabulous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Trim a piece of the Coffee or Tea designer paper to approx. 4” x 5 ¼”, distress the edges with scissors or a distressing tool.

Mount the panel on a piece of deep purple cardstock, trim to approx. 4 ¼” x 5½”.

Adhere the distressed designer paper panel onto a white card base.

Trim another piece of the Coffee or Tea paper (the striped panel) on the diagonal (per the sketch).

Mount the diagonal panel onto deep purple cardstock and adhere a piece of the crochet lace behind the panel before mounting onto the card front.

Mount the entire panel onto a white card base.

Die cut the strip of Coffee or Tea designer paper with the Farmhouse Sentiment Banners Dies, distressing the edges.

Die cut a larger banner from the same die set from deep purple cardstock, distressing the edges.

Layer the two banners together onto the card front.

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, ink the Give Thanks verse sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink , stamp onto the prepared cardstock, apply clear embossing powder, heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, die cut with a circle die (die cutting a second circle from the same die from deep purple cardstock to split in half, then layer behind the sentiment circle).

Mount the layered sentiment circle to the card front with dimensional foam.

Finish off the card with a few soft blue pearls and a strip of the designer paper on the left-hand side of the inside panel (I like to do this to use up my scraps).
