A Child Is Born

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a Christmas card using the Vintage Christmas Background, Floral Clusters- Winter Poinsettia, and Merry Christmas (all from Stamp Simply)!

I love the new Vintage Christmas Background stamp, don’t you?  It can be paired with so many different Stamp Simply stamp sets- if you have time, stop by the Stamp Simply blog to check out the gorgeous creations from my Sister Design Team members.

I enjoy playing along with online challenges and will be linking this card to  the Addicted to Stamps & More #482 Christmas Challenge, the Festive Friday #FF0173 “Traditional Christmas” Challenge (Red, Green, Gold, Embossing, Christmas Sentiment) and the Word Art Wednesday #675-#676 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to check out the rest of my Sister Design Team cards on the Stamp Simply blog, or the other challenge sites, I hope you take the time to do so- so much inspiration from all!

To create this card:

De-static a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool.

Using Versamark ink, stamp the Vintage Christmas Background stamp with onto the prepared panel, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Repeat the above steps for the verse sentiment.

Once the embossing has cooled, trim the panel, mount onto dark green cardstock, trim again and mount onto red cardstock, before adhering to a white card base.

Ink the
poinsettia image with Versafine Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, water-color the image with water-based markers and use a white paint pen for the floral center.

Use the Floral Clusters die to die cut the poinsettia (also, die cut an additional die cut from white cardstock to layer behind the colored image).

Mount the floral image onto the card front with dimensional foam.

Add a few rhinestones to the card front to finish off the card.
