Hi Stampers!
I created this card using the colors from this week’s CQC91 ColourQ Challenge and the SplitcoastJuly Creative Crew Challenge.
If you have the time, check out both sites for some amazing inspiration!
Brayer Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White (roll the ink off on a scrap paper until it is light enough) and stamp the ledger image with Basic Gray. Stamp the compass with Ruby Red and the anchor with Night of Navy. Punch the edge with the Spiral Punch (retired) and lightly sponge Crumb Cake ink on the edges to "antique" the paper a bit.
Stamp the ship image in Night of Navy onto Whisper White and punch out with the 2 ½” XL Circle Punch. Sponge Crumb Cake and Basic Gray onto the image to “antique” and layer onto Bravo Burgundy and Night of Navy circles punched also with the 2 ½” XL Circle Punch.
The sentiment was created with My Digital Studio from the brush set, Thoughts and Prayers. Use the Large Oval Punch to punch out the sentiment and sponge with Crumb Cake and Basic Gray. Stamp the anchor with Night of Navy and the compass with Ruby Red (retired) -stamping off both images first. Punch a piece of Night of Navy with the Designer Label Punch (retired) and a piece of Bravo Burgundy with the Modern Label Punch. Once layered, attach two button brads from Vintage Trinkets on the sides.
Layer the background pieces and attach a piece of Satin Ribbon (from my stash). Mount the panel onto Bravo Burgundy and again onto Night of Navy.
Lightly sponge Crumb Cake onto the embossed white background and along the edges of the card front to finish off the card.
