Hi Again Stampers!
Here is another card that I
created this week using the CC485 Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge along with
a version of the FMS143 Freshly Made Sketch.
Again, if you have not
visited either of the sites above, both sites have excellent Design Teams as well
as other samples- so much inspiration!!
To create this card:
Use the 1 3/8” Circle Punch
to punch out a circle from a piece of scrap paper and mask the area on a piece
of Sahara Sand cardstock. Use a Sponge
Dauber with Hello Honey Classic Ink to ink within the circle to create the sun.
Ink the lighthouse stamp
using Night of Navy Classic ink and stamp over the sun image. Darken the image
using a Night of Navy Stampin’ Write marker.
Create the rays using a
straight edge of a piece of scrap paper and a Sponge Dauber with Hello Honey
Classic Ink. Add highlights using the
Chalk Marker to the sun and the rays.
Round the corners using the
Envelope Board, also rounding corners of a piece of Night of Navy cardstock. Trim
and mount the Night of Navy cardstock layer behind the focal image.
Use the Big Shot™ along
with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of
Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock
and adhere to the Whisper White card base.
Use the Big Shot™ with the
Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of
Hello Honey cardstock and color the stripes using the Stampin’ Write Night of
Navy marker and the Chalk Marker. Round
the corners of the striped cardstock using the Envelope Punch Board and mount onto
the embossed background panel.
Create the banner using the
Banner Punch and mount onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, creating banner
points with the Banner Punch as well.
Adhere a piece of Night of
Navy Designer Series Paper (DSP) onto Night of Navy cardstock.
Add the strands of 1 1/4“ Burlap Ribbon to the card front and mount the focal image using Stampin’
Dimensionals®.
Add the striped DSP panel
and the Hello Honey banner along with the Night of Navy button to the front of
the focal image.
Stamp the sentiment using
Night of Navy Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, trim and create the
banner using the Hexagon Punch. Adhere the
sentiment banner to a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and create the banner
points with the Hexagon Punch.
Adhere the sentiment to the
front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card.
