A Look Back at the August 2016 ODBD Release

Hi Friends!

Today we are taking a look back at the Our Daily Bread Designs August 2016 Release on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog today- what a fabulous release!!

My card features the new ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Die Duo-Clear Stamps) along with the new ODBD Flower Lattice Die in addition to ODBD Sweet As Perfume and ODBD You Bless Me from the July 2016 Release.

To create this card:

Cut the strips of ODBD Chalkboard Collection 6x6 Paper to fit the panels of the ODBD  Fancy Folds-Tri-Shutter 2.

Cut a square from white cardstock using the ODBD Double Stitched Squares Dies and stamp the sentiment from ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Die Duo-Clear Stamps) using archival black ink.

Cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD Lacey Squares Dies, mount the stamped  Double Stitched Squares die cut onto the frame and adhere to the front panel of the ODBD Tri-Fold Shutter 2 card.

Ink the ODBD Sweet As Perfume and ODBD You Bless Me floral images using archival black ink, stamp onto white cardstock and watercolor with the archival ink.  Fussy-cut each image, mount the ODBD Sweet As Perfume image onto the main panel using dimensional foam.

Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock using the ODBD Layered Lacey Ovals Dies, stamp the sentiment from the ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Dies Duo- Clear Stamps) with archival black ink and layer the ODBD You Bless Me gladiolus image onto an oval die cut.

Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock using the Flower Lattice Die, trim to fit onto the center panel  and right hand panel of the ODBD Tri-Shutter 2 Card, add the layered oval die cut onto the right hand panel.

Die cut two pieces of black cardstock with the Sympathy word die from the ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Dies Duo- Clear Stamps), layer the pieces together and mount onto the front panel of the card.

Add Pearls to the flower centers as well as the corners of the focal square and the Flower Lattice Die centers to finish off the card.

I had so much fun designing this card and using the ODBD Fancy Folds- Tri-Shutter 2 Card made it so easy!  I am also going to link this card to the Word Art Wednesday #244-#245 "Anything Goes" Challenge  as well as the Simon Says Wednesday "Make For the Border" Challenge (both sites have a fabulous DT and entries in their galleries).

Again, I hope you have a chance to check out the inspiration from the rest of the "Breadsticks" at Our Daily Bread Designs- gorgeous examples from all!
