I hope all of you are having a great
week so far! Here is another card using
the new Birthday Pals Stamp/Die Bundle from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps (SNSS) along
with the Bare Tree Die Set and Tall Grass Die.
I think that the new SNSS Birthday Pals Clear Stamp Set is so cute and perfect for birthday cards for "kids" of all ages!
This will be another one of the cards for the August MISSION- Cards for A Cause at Splitcoaststampers. This month cards will be sent to The Birthday Party Project-what a wonderful cause! They
conduct birthday parties for homeless children in shelters and other
transitional housing...see more details here...
I am also linking to the Simon Says Monday "Go Fish" Challenge as well as Inkspirational #115 "Patterned Paper" Challenge.
Stamp the balloon image as well as
the first fish from the SNSS Birthday Pals Clear Stamp Set directly on white cardstock using archival black ink and the
second fish onto a piece of acetate.
Immediately lay another piece of
white cardstock directly onto the acetate, rub the back of the card over the
stamped image and lift- this will give you
a reverse image of the stamp :-)
Use the Big Shot™ to die cut all of
the images out with the coordinating Birthday Pals Dies (part of the SNSS Birthday Pals Stamp/Die Bundle).
Use water-based markers to color the
fish as well as the balloon and once the ink has dried, add white dots on the
fish and the reflection on the balloon with the Sharpie® Extra Fine White PaintPen.
Die cut a circle out of a piece of designer
paper (set the die cut panel aside for another project) and mount the circle to
a piece of white cardstock.
Position the sentiment from Birthday Pals Clear Stamp Set with a bit of a curve (to mirror the curve of the circle- I used my MISTI®
Tool for all of the stamping in this project), stamp onto the background panel
with archival black ink.
Die cut a piece of green cardstock with
the SNSS Tall Grass Die and a piece of melon cardstock with the SNSS Bare Tree Dies. Trim the trunk on the Bare Tree die cut a bit and
mount both onto the background panel.
Adhere the entire background panel
onto the melon card base, mount the fish and balloon with dimensional foam and finish
off the card with a few silver sequins.
Another fun card that I hope the
children will like!
Thanks for taking the time to visit-
hugs and I hope you have a blessed week, my friends!
Super cute card Julie. Love the colorful under water scene. Great images and cuts.
ReplyDeleteCool to use floral pattern paper to create the look of bubbles in the ocean.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining us at Inkspirational Challenges for our #115 challenge :)
