I hope all of you are having a great
week so far! We are celebrating the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps March 2017 Release
later today and this card was designed with the new SNSS Peaceful Peonies ClearStamp Set designed by NinaB Designs.
As you know, I love to participate in
online challenges so I incorporated the Freshly Made Sketches FMS277 Sketch Challenge along with the Sunday Stamps "SSC147 Cottage Colors" Challenge, the Stampin’ Royalty #364 “Fav Technique” Challenge (watercolor) and The Daily Marker 30 DayColoring Challenge into the design.
If you have not had a chance to visit
the SNSS Blog, SNSS Facebook page or the other challenge site yet, I highly
encourage you to do so! Inspiration is
posted throughout the week on the SNSS Blog and FB Page from my sisters on the
SNSS Creative Team and the other challenge sites have fabulous DT and galleries
as well!
1). Use a stencil brush with flourish
stencil to apply tumbled glass distress ink to a piece of white cardstock, trim
the panel, mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim and moutn onto the white
card base.
2). Use a stencil brush with the same
flourish stencil to apply tumbled glass distress ink to another piece of white cardstock,
die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, mount onto black cardstock,
trim close to the edge and add to the
card front (per the sketch).
3). Ink the SNSS Peaceful Peonies
image with embossing ink, stamp onto a piece of white cardstock and heat emboss
with black embossing powder. Once the
powder has cooled, color the image with water-based markers and a water brush,
layering color carefully without too much water so the paper will not “pill”.
4). Fussy cut the floral image close
to the embossing, cut the leaves off the edges and split the flower near the
bottom. Use a clear glitter pen to add
shimmer to the petals on the floral image.
5). Heat emboss the sentiment from
the SNSS Peaceful Peonies Clear Stamp Set with white embossing powder onto
black cardstock, trim the panel.
6). Position the leaves and adhere
directly to the card front, add the flower image and sentiment with dimensional
foam.
7). Add a few rhinestones to finish
off the card.
I had a great time designing with
this card:-) Hugs and thanks again for
taking the time to stop by! I hope all
of you have a blessed weekend, sweet friends!
