Woohoo! It’s time for
the new #69 Lime & Aqua Challenge at The Card Concept!
We know of several families that have lost loved ones recently so I decided to create a sympathy card using the colors and flowers as inspiration.
I feel that this card is a Mixed Media Clean and Simple design. Not sure if you feel the same but since it is primarily one layer, it is CAS to me :-)

Also, just a reminder, the Card Concept is a bi-weekly challenge that has an inspiration photo along
with a number of design styles that you can choose from to create your own card-
Clean and Simple, Clean and Graphic, Clean and Layered, Shabby Chic, Freestyle
Collage, Classy and Elegant and Mixed Media (or you can combine several styles
for your own style).
We hope you will grab your supplies and come join in on the fun!

To
create this card:
1).
Ink the floral image from Floral Greetings Clear Stamp from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps
with archival black ink and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock.
2).
Stamp the same floral image used in the step above onto a piece of scrap paper
or sticky note paper, fussy-cut to create a mask, lay the mask over the stamped
image on the white cardstock, re-ink the image, stamp, re-position the mask and
repeat the stamping to create the group of flowers.
3).
Heat set the stamped images and color using water-based markers and distress
inks. Use the heat tool to dry between layers and try not to add too much water
since the cardstock may start to pill.
4).
Once you are satisfied with the watercolor, add a few white highlights with an extra
fine White Sharpie Pen.
5).
Trim the panel and mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim again and mount
onto a white card base.
6).
Heat emboss the sentiment from SNSS Floral Greetings with white embossing
powder onto black cardstock, create the flag banner either by hand or with a
punch and add to the card front with dimensional foam.
7).
Add a few rhinestones to finish off the card.
