When Peace Like A River...Hymn Blocks

 Hi Friends!

I hope all of you had a great weekend! Today I am sharing a card designed with the new Hymn Blocks Clear Stamp Set (designed by NinaB Designs) available at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

The Hymn Blocks Clear Stamp Set includes some of my favorites hymns and I think that they will work so well for many different occasions.

To create this card:

1). Ink the “It Is Well With My Soul” Hymn Block image using Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink and stamp onto a piece of vanilla cardstock. Apply Clear Embossing Powder, heat set with the Heat Tool, die cut with a stitched square die and mount onto a piece of espresso cardstock.  Use a sponge dauber to lightly apply espresso ink to distress the image.

2). Trim a piece of pale green designer paper for the background (I used a retired piece from my stash), emboss the paper with the retired Finial Press Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, lightly sand with a sanding block, distress the edges and lightly sponge espresso ink over the edges and embossing.  Mount onto piece of espresso cardstock, distress the edges and mount onto the white card base.

3). Repeatedly stamp the Hymn Blocks image onto a piece of olive cardstock using Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink, trim the panel and mount onto a piece of espresso cardstock.  Mount a piece of soft yellow designer paper onto espresso cardstock, layer the vertical strips onto the card front.

4). Die cut a doily from espresso cardstock, mount behind the Hymn Blocks image and adhere to the card front with dimensional foam.

5). Add the triple ⅜” Artichoke Denim ribbon bow with the espresso button and gold metallic thread.

7). Finish off the card with a few Pearls.
