Faith Quote Blocks

Hi Friends!

This is the second card I created this weekend with the Faith Quote Blocks Clear Stamp Set (designed by NinaB Designs) available from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps (see this post for my first card using the same stamp set and layout).

I decided to use Tim Holtz® Distress Oxide Inks for the background panel as well as the smaller strip of designer paper and I also used the Freshly Made Sketches  #306 Sketch Challenge for the layout for the design.

If you have not had a chance to visit the above challenge sites or the SNSS Blog/FB Page yet, I encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). Tap a bit of twisted citron distress oxide ink onto a craft mat, spritz with water, lay a piece of white cardstock into the ink, lift up and dry with a heat tool.  Repeat the process layering worn lipstick and peacock feathers distress oxide ink until you achieve the desired result.

2). De-static the panel with an embossing powder tool, stamp the verse image from Faith Quote Blocks with Versafine™ Onyx Black Ink onto the panel, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Once the embossing has cooled, trim the panel and mount onto a piece of black cardstock.

3). Trim the vertical panels of the sketch from coordinating pieces of designer paper, apply a bit of peacock feathers oxide ink onto the pink gingham layer, dry with a heat tool and mount both panels onto black cardstock (trimming closet to the cut edges).

4). Mount the vertical strips onto a white card base, add strips of washi tape to the right hand panel and mount the embossed focal image panel onto the card front with dimensional foam.

5). Add a few drops of Nuvo™ Gloss Black Crystals Drops to finish off the card.

Ink/Mediums: Versafine™ Onyx Black, Tim Holtz® Distress Oxide Ink- Twisted Citron, Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers

Paper/Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, retired DSP

Acessories/Tools: Embossing Buddy®, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by- hugs and have a great weekend!
