Echo Park Silent Night- Card Set #4 O Come Let Us Adore Him

Hi Sweet Friends!

I am sharing another quick and easy Clean and Simple (CAS) Christmas card set for using the Silent Night 6x6 paper pad by Echo Park along with stamps and supplies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  FYI- this is the 4th set that I designed with this paper pad- a total of thirteen separate designs and the paper pad still has plenty of pages left!

I will be linking the first card to the Simon Says Wednesday "Anything Goes" Challenge  and the second card to the Time Out #175 "Quick" Challenge and the Word Art Wednesday #466-#467 "Anything Goes" Challenge.

This set of cards were definitely quick to create-

Since Christmas is fast approaching, I used patterns and cut-a-parts from the Silent Night paper pad by Echo Park to create both cards.  The first card uses the designer paper only along with gold foil paper.

In addition to th
Silent Night paper pad and gold foil for the second card, I added a gold heat embossed sentiment from Merry Christmas.

Tiny silver rhinestones were added to the flower centers to finish off both cards.

Both cards were quick and easy!

I hope you will find the time to visit the Stamp Simply blog and don’t forget the sale this weekend at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store:

Clean and Simple Christmas

 Hi Friends!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving to my friends in the United States!  This year our Thanksgiving celebration was a bit different- we were unable to get together with our family (since all of them live out of state), so we enjoyed a quiet lunch with two of our closest friends.

We are praying that the pandemic will be over soon, but we are very thankful that the Lord has protected us from the virus so far!

I know that many of you are also staying socially distanced and may be shopping online this weekend to take advantage of the Black Friday/Thanksgiving Weekend sales.  If so, I wanted to let you know about the Stamp Simply Thanksgiving special:

One benefit of staying home is that I have a bit more creative time and today I am sharing a quick set of Clean and Simply (CAS) Christmas cards that I designed using
Stamp Simply stamps and dies.

As those of you who follow my blog know that I enjoy playing along with challenge, so I am linking this card into the IN{K}spire_Me #437 “Festive Flowers and Trees” Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to visit the above challenge sites or the Stamp Simply blog to check out all of the inspiration from my fellow Design Team members, I encourage you to do so, tremendous talent from all!

To create this set of cards:

On three separate white cardstock panels, stamp the sentiment from the Jesus stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black ink, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Trim the panel, mount onto black cardstock and adhere the entire panel onto a white card base.

Stamp three of the poinsettia image from Floral Clusters- Winter Poinsettia using Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, color the poinsettia images using water-based markers. Die cut the poinsettias using the coordinating die and mount onto the card fronts with chipboard or dimensional foam.

Finish off the card by adding white highlights to the berries and floral centers with an extra fine white paint pen.

Stamp Sets: Floral Clusters- Winter Poinsettia,  Jesus  (Stamp Simply)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad,  Stampin’ Write Markers- Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, Mossy Meadow; White Paint Pen

Echo Park Silent Night- Blue and White Card Set

Hi Friends!

I am still working on Christmas cards and this quick Clean and Simple (CAS) set of four cards was designed with the Echo Park Silent Night 6 x 6 Paper Pad, the Tim Holtz Crochet die and a few stamp sets, all from Stamp Simply.

This paper pad has so many great pages for scrapbooking, Christmas cards and other projects- there are 6 double sided designs (12 designs) and four of each page!

There is one page in the pad that has four horizontal scenes plus several cut-a-part pages in the Silent Night 6x6 paper pad. In one afternoon, I ended up creating thirteen different cards (I will be sharing the remainder of the cards over the next few weeks) but I am sure you could create at least forty cards or more from this paper pad!

Here is my first set of four cards:

Card #1 uses the wisemen scene from the horizontal scene page and the sentiment from Jesus stamp set.  The scene was mounted onto the card with chipboard for dimension and a small rhinestone was added to the star- what an easy card!

Card #2 uses another scene from the same piece of Silent Night designer paper along with a sentiment from Merry Christmas and a silver rhinestone- so quick!

Card #3 uses one of the larger cut-a-parts, trimmed and mounted onto black and white cardstock.  The “lace” is white cardstock die cut using the  Tim Holtz Crochet Die and the sentiment from Jesus stamp set was heat embossed in white on black cardstock. Another silver rhinestone was added for the star. This card was easy, the die cut added just a bit of time, but I love that die, don’t you?

Card #4 uses same cut-a-part as the third card, mounted onto black cardstock along with a paper “lace” using another die cut strip from Tim Holtz Crochet Die and the sentiment from Merry Christmas stamp set, and of course, another silver rhinestone for the star.

I hope I have inspired you with this set of CAS Christmas cards- so quick and easy!

Stamp Sets:  Jesus, Merry Christmas  (Stamp Simply)

Ink/Mediums: Versafine Onyx Black

Cardstock/Paper:  White and Black Cardstock; Echo Park Silent Night 6x6 Paper Pad

Accessories/Tools: Gemini, Jr., Circle Dies,
Silver Rhinestones, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

I hope all of you are staying as healthy as possible during this pandemic!

I am so thankful that you took the time to stop by- I will be sharing more Christmas cards in the next few weeks, so I would love for you to visit again soon!

Stack and Quilt Floral Cluster- Winter Poinsettia Card Set

 Hi Friends!

I am having fun creating Christmas cards and this set of five cards was designed with Stamp Simply stamp sets, Winter Poinsettia and Christmas Peace along with the Kaisercraft Peace & Joy paper pad using the Stack and Quilt technique from Splitcoaststampers.

I love to participate with online challenges and am linking to the Simon Says Wednesday “Christmas”Challenge, The Spot #137 “Color Challenge” and the Word Art Wednesday #466-#467“Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to check out the Stamp Simply blog yet or the challenge sites above, I encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this set of cards:

Pull out five pieces of 4” x 5 ¼” designer paper from the Peace & Joy paper pad and stack them together before cutting on the diagonal along with three other cuts to create five pieces for the quilt pattern from each piece of designer paper (please see the tutorial for more details).

Layer and adhere each piece separately onto a piece of white cardstock- you will have five panels when finished. Once you have all five pieces “quilted” to the white cardstock, emboss using the Script Background embossing folder.

Lightly distress the edges of the quilted panel and add the crocheted lace. FYI- make sure you have the embossed script wording upright before adding the crochet lace. See the last card below with the lace and ribbon at the top- I originally added the lace thinking that it was at the bottom, but oops!, the embossed wording was upside down, lol!.  No worries, I removed the lace/ribbon (carefully) and turned the it around but had to keep it at the top since the adhesive tore the paper a bit :-)

Add the green grosgrain ribbon, adhere the ribbon ends behind the panel and mount onto another piece of white cardstock. Distress the edges and adhere to a piece of black cardstock before mounting the entire panel onto the white card base.

Stamp the Christmas Peace sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock,  apply clear embossing powder applied and heat set with a heat tool.  Die cut with a circle die, mount onto another circle die cut from black cardstock and mount onto the card front with chipboard (or dimensional foam).

Stamp the Winter Poinsettia image with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock,  apply clear embossing powder applied and heat set with a heat tool.  Watercolor the image with water-based markers and die cut with the coordinating die.

Mount the poinsettia die cut onto the card front with chipboard or dimensional foam.

Use a clear glitter marker to add shimmer to the poinsettia petals, a white paint pen to add highlights to the berries and flower center and add a few pearls to finish off the card.

I had so much fun creating this set of cards! What a great way to use up some of your designer paper, love this stack and quilt technique!

Merry Christmas Poinsettia Wreath

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing another Christmas card designed with stamps, dies and designer paper from
The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

I love all of the sentiments in the new  Typewritten Year Round Sentiments stamp set - so versatile for all occasions!

I decided to use a modified version of the Splitcoaststampers SC343 (some of you are aware that I have a personal goal of creating a card for use of the 850+ sketches at SCS- over half way there! :-)).

I am also linking this card to the Tic-Tac-Toe #90 Challenge (diagonal Plaid-Holiday- Include Neutral Color) and the Word Art Wednesday #464-#465 “Anything Goes” Challenge.

The background panel strips were created with the Fishtail Sentiment Banner Dies using a plaid pattern from the Little Lumber Jack 6x6 paper pad by Echo Park and mounted onto white cardstock.

Black seam binding ribbon along with the Tim Holtz crochet die and a spare button from my stash were layered prior to adding the wreath and poinsettia from Seasonal Wreaths- Fall & Winter.

The “Merry Christmas” sentiment from Typewritten Year Round Sentiments was stamped with Versamark ink onto black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment was carefully cut apart before adding to the card front with chipboard.

To finish off the card, a clear glitter marker was used to add shimmer to the petals, an extra fine white paint pen for highlights to the flower center and few Nuvo pearl drops  were added for additional texture. .

The following Stamp Simply supplies to create this card:
