I wanted to create another card for The Card Concept #210 Pumpkin Season Challenge and decided to pull out two older (but still current) stamp sets-Seasonal Wreaths-Fall/Winter Bundle along with the Welcome Fall stamp set, Carta Bella Welcome Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad, two 3D embossing folders, lace trim, and other supplies (all from Stamp Simply)!
I also enjoy playing along with other online challenges and incorporated the Freshly
Made Sketches #657 Sketch for the layout and am also playing along with the
Retro
Rubber Challenge #241 Tic-Tac-Toe (far left down Die Cut-Tag-Pumpkin) and
the Simon
Says Monday “Use Patterned Paper”.
If you have not had
a chance to check out the rest of my Sister Design Team cards on the Stamp Simply
blog, or the other challenge
sites yet, I hope you take the time to do so- wonderful inspiration from all!
To create this card:
Emboss a piece of 4”
x 5 ¼” white cardstock with the 3D
Foliage Texture Fades embossing folder, mount onto a piece of pumpkin cardstock.
Adhere the entire
card front panel to a white card base.
Trim a piece of the Welcome
Autumn 6x6 paper to approx. 4” square, then trim on an
angle (per the sketch). Adhere to the foliage embossed card front.
Add a scrap piece
of the same paper onto the interior left-hand side of the card base (I like
to do this to use up my scraps).
Adhere a strip of
the scalloped loop trim over the cut edge of the patterned paper.
Die cut the tag from a piece of white cardstock and emboss with the 3D Intertwine embossing folder.
Add the sage
green twill ribbon with the baker’s
twine bow at the top of the tag.
De-static a piece of
white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the wreath
image with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink, apply clear embossing powder
and heat set with a heat tool.
Die cut the wreath
with the coordinating die (I also layered the image onto another die
cut from white cardstock to give it more stability).
Ink the pumpkin
image from the Seasonal Wreaths- Fall/Winter with Versafine Black
Onyx ink onto another piece of white cardstock, apply clear embossing
powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Watercolor the pumpkin
image with distress inks and die cut with the coordinating
die (I also layered this one onto another die cut from white cardstock).
De-static a piece of
suede cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the sentiment from Welcome
Fall with Versamark
ink, apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Die cut the
sentiment panel with the Fishtail
Sentiment Banners die, tuck under the wreath image, layer the die cut pumpkin
image and mount the entire wreath onto the tag.
Adhere the tag
to the card front with dimensional foam to finish off the card.
Layer a strip of sage green twill ribbon to the card front, wrapping the ends behind the panel.
