CAS Just Beachy :-)

Hi Again Stampers!!

Here is another very quick card that I created using the CQC250 ColourQ Challenge along with the Splitcoaststampers CAS282 Day at the Beach and TLC491 And SheScores! Challenges :-)

Again, I hope you have a chance to visit the above sites to check out the Design Team samples and other entries- wonderful inspiration from all!!

To create this Clean and Simple (CAS) card:

Ink the flip flop image from the retired set, Just Beachy using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Color the image using the Stampin’ Blendabilities™ Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Neutrals Collections.  Use the Stampin’ Write Crumb Cake Marker as well in the area and trim around the image  (for the life of me, I cannot stamp a straight sentiment on a one layer card so I had to trim- lol!) :-)

Ink the sentiment from the retired set, Congrats using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out the banner points using the Hexagon Punch.

Using the Simply Scored™ Tool, score the lines on another piece of Whisper White cardstock and adhere to the Whisper White card base.

Add the images to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card.

Less than 10 minutes and you are finished!!

Stamp Sets: Just Beachy, Congrats (both retired)

Seahorse Thinking of You - Another Color and Sketch Challenge

Hi Stampers!

Here is a card that I created using the CCMC312 Color Challenge along with the SC497Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge.

I hope you will find the time to visit both challenge sites- great inspiration from all!

To create this card:

Ink the script stamp from By the Tide using Sahara Sand Classic Ink and stamp repeatedly onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Stamp the seahorse from By The Tide over the script using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.

Stamp another seahorse onto a sticky note (or scrap paper) to create a mask, mask the image that you stamped on the Whisper White cardstock.  Ink the coral stamp from By the Tide using Hello Honey Classic Ink and stamp over the masked seahorse image.

Ink the Nantucket stamp from By The Tide using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink and stamp off onto scrap paper before stamping onto the cardstock.

Add a bit of distressing using the Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamp with Sahara Sand Classic Ink.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Window Frames Collection Framelits™ to cut out the image along with the same size window from a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

Cut the Blackberry Bliss window framelit™ in half and layer behind the seahorse image.

Use a Sponge Dauber to lightly sponge Hello Honey Classic Ink around the edges- oops!  I had to do this step since I accidentally had some ink from coloring a white button (that I decided not to use) and had a few yellow smudges on the outside of image- duh! :-)

Ink the World Map background stamp using Sahara Sand Classic Ink and stamp onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, trim and mount  onto the Whisper White card base.

Use the Big Shot™ with the retired Adorning Accent Edgelit™ and cut a piece of the Moonlight Designer Series Paper (DSP) along with a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

Trim the Moonlight panel and mount onto the Blackberry Bliss layer.  Sponge a bit of Hello Honey Classic Ink around the edges as well :-)

Add the 3/8” Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon bow to the center and adhere the layered seahorse image per the sketch.

Ink the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink and stamp along the bottom.
Color the Pearls using the Dark Daffodil Delight Blendabilities™ marker and add to the lower portion of the DSP layer to finish off the card.

CAS Card in Honor of "Queenie" :-)

Hi Again Stampers!!

Here is another quick card that I created using the CASOLOGY #104- Pet and the PPA212 Pals Paper Arts Sketch (love this sketch! :-))

As soon as I saw the cue word from CASOLOGY, I knew that I could create a card with a cat stamp that I found at Michael’s years ago in the dollar bin (that until today had not been inked at all :-)).

Our beloved "Queenie" :-)
We had just adopted two kittens that we destined for the shelter (if they had not found a home) and one of the kittens looked just like the stamp.  Since she was little, she had a "regal" attitude so we nicknamed her “Queenie”.   She loved to wrap her fluffy tail around the face of our older male kitty and then pose in such a pretty manner (trust me, he could not resist her and was in love at first site :-))

To this day, she has a wonderful temperament and queen-like behavior that befits her nickname perfectly!

Again, I hope you have a chance to visit the above sites to check out the Design Team samples and other entries- both galleries are full of great designs!

 To create this “hybrid” card:

Ink the cat image using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Color the image using the Stampin’ Blendabilities™ Old Olive Collection for the eyes, Daffodil Delight Collection for the crown and Stampin’ Write markers for the fur (Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate).

Punch the image out using the 2” Circle Punch and also punch 2” Circles from Sahara Sand and Basic Black cardstock.  Split the Sahara Sand and Basic Black circles in half and mount behind the cat image.

For the crown, paw prints and sentiment, use My Digital Studio and print the images onto Whisper White cardstock.

Color the crown using the Stampin’ Blendabilities™ Daffodil Delight Collection and punch both images out using the 1 3/8” Circle Punch (also punching 1 3/8” Circles from Sahara Sand and Basic Black cardstock, splitting these circles in half and mounting behind the crown and paws images).

Add a strip of Basic Black cardstock along with ½ of a White Tea Lace Paper Doily (attached at the bottom) to the Sahara Sand background and mount this layer onto a Basic Black card base.

Add the images along the black strip and the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Favorite Thoughts, Artistic Etchings, Patterned Pets (all MDS versions), cat image (non- SU!)

Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Blendabilities™-  Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Collections,  Stampin’ Write markers- Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Sahara Sand

Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Hexagon Punch, White Tea Lace Paper Doily

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope you enoyed this card in honor of our "Queenie" :-)  Have a great Monday and God Bless!

CC486- Trust In the Lord

Hi Stampers!

I had a chance to play around in my craft room with some of the new stamp sets and decided to use the Splitcoaststampers CC486 Color Challenge- Old Olive, Calypso Coral and DaffodilDelight with the “dessert” option of a fun fold (who can resist dessert :-)) so I decided to create an easel card.

Again, I know most of you have already stopped by the Splitcoaststampers gallery, but if not, I hope you will find the time to do so- it is amazing the variety and inspiration from just one color challenge!!

To create this fun easel card:

Ink the floral stamp from the new stamp set, Beautiful Bunch using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp two of the images onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Color one of the flower petals using the Calypso Coral Blendabilities™ Collection and the other flower with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities™ Collection.  Color the center of both flowers using the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities™ Collection  and add a few details to the center with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities™ Collection as well as the Chalk Marker.

Punch the flowers out with the Fun Flower Punch (I trimmed the white away from the edges after punching) and cut each flower in half.

Another view of the easel :-)
Adhere the two alternate colored halves together onto the piece of Old Olive Park Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) and mount onto a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock, trim and mount again onto Whisper White cardstock.

Create the easel card using the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers located here…I used a Whisper White cardstock base and layered with Old Olive cardstock.

Adhere a piece of retired Calypso Coral DSP (from the DSP Stack) and add the vertical pieces of Park Lane DSP (layered onto Calypso Coral with trim from the Finishing Touches Edgelit™).

Mount the floral panel to the front of the main part of the easel using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Stamp the sentiment from Trust God using Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, trim and adhere to a piece of Old Olive cardstock.

Cut the remaining halves of the flowers from the first steps above in half and adhere the quartered section to the corner of the sentiment panel.

Adhere a piece of retired Calypso Coral DSP (from the DSP Stack used above) onto the lower panel of the easel over the Old Olive base and attach a piece of the Finishing Touches trim along the sentiment panel.

Mount the sentiment panel to the easel base (the trim helps to hold open the easel) and add a few Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets: Beautiful Bunch, Trust God

Ink: Memento™ Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Blendabilities™- Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Collections, Chalk Marker

Paper/Cardstock:  Whisper White, Old Olive, Park Lane DSP, retired Calypso Coral DSP

Accessories: Big Shot™, Finishing Touches Edgelit™, Pearls

Thanks again for stopping by- I still have a few cards to post from the weekend and will share later.  Have a great Monday!!
