Hi again Stampers!
Since yesterday was World Card Making Day, I spent some
time in my craft room to create a few Clean and Simple (CAS) cards.
This card was created using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #23Challenge along with a few pre-printed images from My Digital Studio (MDS) – if
you have a chance, check out their site for great sketches and ideas :-)
To create this card:
In My Digital Studio (MDS), open a blank 8.5 x 11 custom page and
insert the stamp brush image "Sunflower" and the sentiment from "Daring Adventure" (re-size
both images). Print the images using your
computer printer and hand cut (“fussy” cut) the Sunflower image and use a
trimmer to cut the sentiment (layer the
sentiment onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock).
Using Sponge Daubers, color the Sunflower image using Summer
Starfruit Classic Ink for the petals and Soft Suede Classic Ink for the flower
center. Use the Chalk Marker to
highlight the seeds in the center of the sunflower.
Cut the banner strip from the I Am Me Designer Series Paper
and hand cut the banner points (or use the 1 3/8” Square Punch). Layer onto Basic Black cardstock and cut the
banner points to match.
Use the Big Shot™ with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing
Folder to emboss a piece of Basic Gray cardstock. Layer onto a piece of Whisper White and again
onto the Basic Black card base.
Mount the banner, sentiment and sunflower element per the
sketch and add a few Pearls to finish off the card.
Stamp Sets: Sunflower, Daring Adventure (both MDS)
Ink: Printer Ink- Black, Summer Starfruit, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Gray, I Am Me
Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Big Shot™,
Woodgrain Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder, Sponge Daubers, Chlak Marker. Pearls
