CCMC275 Seaside Gratitude

Hi Stampers!!

and decided to create a masculine card using the retired Nautical Designer Series Paper (DSP).

If you have not had a chance to check out the examples at Create with Connie and Mary, I encourage you to stop by- so many terrific ideas!!

To create this card:

Stamp the compass image from The Open Sea using Early Espresso Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock.   Color the image using the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write marker, retired Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils, Crumb Cake Classic Ink sponged around the edges to age the paper and apply Moonlight Smooch™ Pearlized Ink over the image.

Punch out the compass using the 1 1/4” Circle Punch and adhere to a 1 3/8” circle of Early Espresso cardstock (distress the edges using the Distressing Tool).   Insert the Vintage Trinket brad into the center of the compass.

Stamp the images from Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid using Crumb Cake Classic Ink randomly onto a piece of the retired Nautical Designer Series Paper.

Use the Distressing Tool to distress the edges, apply Crumb Cake Classic Ink using a Sponge Dauber and mount onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.

Use the Distressing Tool to distress the edges of the Early Espresso cardstock and mount onto the Cherry Cobbler card base.

Create the banners from strips of the retired Nautical Designer Series Paper and the 1” Square Punch for the banner points.  Use the Big Shot™ with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder to emboss the strips and very gently sand with the Sanding Block.

Adhere to the front of the distressed DSP background and add a piece of Early Espresso cardstock (from my scraps previously embossed using the Big Shot™ and the Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder).

Stamp the sentiment from Harvest of Thanks using Early Espresso Classic Ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out using the Big Shot™ and the corresponding Bitty Banners Framelits™, add Crumb Cake over the edges using a Sponge Dauber and adhere to the bottom right corner of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals®.

Add the compass image to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals® and double up a length of retired Hemp Twine and tie a few knots.

Punch a hole through the Early Espresso embossed strip using the Piercing Tool and Piercing Mat, insert the Antique Brad through the loop on the end of the knotted twine and into the pierced opening.

Adhere to the card front using Mini Glue Dots behind a few of the knots to finish off the card.
