Vintage Floral- Black Cherry Suede

Hi Stampers! 

Since I love vintage style, I had to create another card for the FU14 Friday MashUp Vintage Floral Challenge and loved the colors in this week's JAI75 Just Add Ink Color Challenge.

To create this card:

Stamp the scroll image from Elements of Style in Basic Black on Soft Suede cardstock. 

Stamp the floral image from Elements of Style using Basic Black onto Very Vanilla.  Use blender pens with Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede ink to color the flowers.  Use a Sponge Dauber with Soft Suede ink and sponge the edges/center to “antique” the paper.  Tear the paper and crumple by hand followed up by more sponging.  Mount onto Soft Suede and add the 5/8’ Black Satin Ribbon.  

Stamp the sentiment and punch out with the Large Oval Punch.  Sponge the edges and layer with the Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black using the Modern Label and XL Decorative Label Punches. 

With the Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings  Embosslit Die, cut out two butterflies from Very Vanilla.  Using Basic Black, stamp the floral image onto the butterflies and sponge with Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede ink.  Spray with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and adhere with glue dots to the card front.

Add pearls to finish off the card.

Summertime Blues- Two Cards, Two Challenges

Hi Stampers!  

This week  Pals Paper Arts is highlighting the PPA101 Summertime Blues and the colors look so great together that I just had to make two cards!  Since both cards are floral and somewhat vintage, they qualify for this week’s FU14 Friday MashUp’s Vintage FloralChallenge as well.

To create the first card:

Stamp the scroll image from Elements of Style with Not Quite Navy (NQN) onto Marina Mist cardstock.  

Stamp the floral image with NQN onto Whisper White cardstock.  Use SU! markers in Bashful Blue and NQN to color in the floral images and sponge with Marina Mist ink. Spritz with the Color Spritzer Tool using a NQN SU! Marker.  Tear the paper and crumple by hand - sponge all of the torn areas with more Marina Mist ink using a Sponge Dauber.   Add the 5/8’ White Satin Ribbon and mount onto Bashful Blue and NQN cardstock.  

Stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the Large Oval Punch.  Stamp the floral image with Bashful Blue and sponge the edges with Marina Mist- layer with the Modern Label and XL Decorative Label Punch.  Adhere to the ribbon and add the pearls. 

Create the rolled flowers with the 1 ¾” and 1 3/8” Circle Punches and run a few times through the Crimper Tool.   Mount to the card front with glue dots and add pearls to the center of the flowers.   

Spray the card front with Frost White Shimmer Paint (cover the ribbon) to finish off the card.

Ink: NQN, Marina Mist

Cardstock:  Whisper White, NQN , Marina Mist, Bashful Blue

Accessories:  Sponge Daubers, SU! Markers- Bashful Blue and NQN, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Pearls, Crimper Tool, Punches- 1 3/8” Circle, 1 3/4” Circle, Modern Label, XL Decorative Label, Color Spritzer Tool

To create the second card:  

Stamp the background stamp, Elizabeth using Not Quite Navy (NQN) on Whisper White and use the background stamp from Flores Suave with Marina Mist to fill in the rest of the white background.   Sponge with Marina Mist and mount onto a piece of NQN cardstock.

Use the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and punch a row of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut the border in half and adhere to the top and bottom of the focal panel.  Mount the panel onto Marina Mist embossed with the Finial Press EF.  

With the XL Bird Punch, punch out three stems in NQN- use the 2-Way Glue Pen to attach the leaves to the card.  

Stamp the sentiment, punch out with the Medium Oval Punch (recently retired) and layer onto NQN punched with the Large Oval Punch.  

Add the rolled flowers with Glue Dots over the stems and spray the entire card front with Frost White Shimmer Paint spray.

Cardstock:  Whisper White, NQN , Marina Mist, Bashful Blue

Accessories:  Sponge Daubers, SU! Markers- Bashful Blue and NQN, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Pearls, Crimper Tool, Punches- 1 3/8” Circle, 1 3/4” Circle, Modern Label, XL Decorative Label , Lace Ribbon Border
