Happy Birthday with ODBD Vintage Bird Labels

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far! Today I am sharing a card that I designed with the Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD) August Release stamp set, Vintage Bird Labels (Clear Stamps).

My husband, Dave and I love to watch birds so when I saw this stamp set in the new release, I knew that I would have to have this one for sure!

I am also linking to the Hand Stamped Sentiments HSSC245 Inspiration Challenge- I love the nature images in their challenge and the field of flowers with the butterflies on this ODBD Vintage Bird Labels image reminds me of our times at Shenandoah National Park :-)

If you have not had a chance to visit the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog yet, I hope you you will do so and check out the wonderful inspiration at from my Design Team Sisters!

To create this card:

Emboss a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern Die, mount onto a piece of bright green cardstock, trim close to the die cut edge, mount onto the black card front.

Ink the ODBD Vintage Bird Labels (Clear Stamps) image using archival black ink, stamp onto a piece of white cardstock and color with water-based markers.

Die cut the ODBD Vintage Bird Labels image with the ODBD Vintage Labels Dies, trim off the border and mount onto a die cut piece of bright green cardstock (cut with the same size die from the ODBD Vintage Labels Dies).

Die cut a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD Vintage Borders Dies and mount the layered focal image in the center.

Ink the sentiment from ODBD Vintage Bird Labels with archival black ink, stamp onto a piece of white cardstock, die cut the sentiment with the ODBD Ovals Die and layer onto a die cut piece of white cardstock using the ODBD Layered Lacey Ovals Dies.

Layer the sentiment onto the main focal image panel, add a piece of 1” Black Satin Ribbon over the card front and mount the entire layered focal image panel with dimensional foam.

Add the silver cord bow with the orange button to finish off the card.

I hope this card inspires you to get crafty this weekend :-)  Hugs and have a fabulous weekend, my friends!

Wedding Blessings

Hi Again Friends!

I wanted to share another card that I designed with the Our Daily Bread Designs August 2016 Release Many Blessings Stamp/Die Duo- Clear Stamps along with the July 2016 Release stamp set, A True Friend.

I am also incorporating the Stampin’ Celebration SC133 Sketch Challenge (flipped the sketch) into the design.

To create this card:

Die cut a piece of ODBD Chalkboard Collection 6x6 Paper with the ODBD Rectangles Die, mount onto a piece black cardstock, trim close to the die cut, mount onto a piece of white cardstock, trim once again and mount onto the black card base.

Layer a piece of ¼” silver satin ribbon over a strip of 1” black satin ribbon, adhere the ribbon across the center of the card front (wrapping the ends behind the panel) and mount the entire card front onto a white card base.

Die cut a piece of white cardstock with the ODBD Vintage Borders Dies and adhere to the card front.

Ink the “wedding” sentiment from ODBD Many Blessings (Stamp/Die Duo- Clear Stamps) with embossing ink, stamp onto a piece of black cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Die cut the sentiment panel with the ODBD Vintage Borders Dies and mount onto the card front with dimensional foam.

Stamp the iris image from ODBD A True Friend stamp set with archival black ink onto white cardstock, watercolor with the archival black ink, fussy cut the image and use a clear glitter pen to add accents to the flower (difficult to see in the photograph).

Add the flower to the card front with dimensional foam under the petals.

Die cut the ODBD Blessings Dies (part of the Many Blessings Stamp/Die Duo- Clear Stamps set) from white cardstock as well as one from black cardstock.

Layer the white die cut sentiment onto the black die cut sentiment (offset just a bit) and mount onto the card front.

Finish off the card by adding a few pearls to the corners.

Thanks again for stopping by-hugs and have a blessed weekend, my friends!

ODBD August 2016 New Release!

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs August 2016 Release!! My husband and I love watching birds so this new release is perfect for this bird loving gal! :-)

I know that you will not want to miss the inspiration from the rest of the Breadbaskets and we would love to have you hop along with us- see more details below...

Sympathy cards are sometimes difficult to design and I just love the sentiments along with the die in the new ODBD With Sympathy (Stamp/Die Duos-Clear Stamps) plus this was an easy card to design- a bit of die cutting, stamping the sentiment, layering and adding satin ribbon and pearls to finish off the card.

My second card features the Vintage Bird Labels (Clear Stamps) embossed with gold embossing powder and paired with several ODBD Dies- Layered Lacey Ovals Dies, Vintage Borders Dies, Vintage Labels Dies, Ovals Dies, Rustic Beauty 6x6 PaperCollection and finished off with gold satin ribbon and pearls.

I had a great time designing with these new stamps and dies and hope you will take the time to check out the rest of the gorgeous inspiration from my Sisters on the “Breadbasket” DT :

ODBD July 2016 Release- Sending Hugs

Hi Friends!

I have been stamping away this week and will be able to post some of those creations with you later this week and next, but in the meantime, I wanted to share with you another card using the July 2016 ODBD Release Stamps, Sweet As Perfume and You Bless Me.

I just love the artwork of these gorgeous flowers and since I am allergic to the fragrance of flowers, I can have fun creating these flowers without worrying about an asthma attack- lol!!

To create this card:

Layer a piece of ODBD Chalkboard 6x6 Collection paper onto white cardstock, trim and mount onto the black card front.

Die cut and emboss the Vintage Borders Dies from white cardstock, adhere the large frame directly onto the card front and add the smaller border frame with dimensional foam.

Ink the sentiment from You Bless Me with embossing ink, apply gold embossing powder, heat set with a heat tool and die cut/emboss with the Layered Lacey Ovals Dies.

Add the sentiment to the card front along with the black triple satin ribbon bow (wrapping the ends around the card front and trimming the one end that will be covered by the flowers).

Ink the floral images from Sweet As Perfume and You Bless Me with an embossing ink, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.

Once the embossing has cooled, “fussy-cut” each of the embossed images and layer onto the card front with dimensional foam.

Mount the entire card front onto the white card base and add pearls to the flower centers as well as the corners to finish off the card.

Thanks again for stopping by to visit- hugs and I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

Our Daily Bread Designs- July New Release Reminder

Hi Friends!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!  Today we are taking another look at the July 2016 Release from Our Daily Bread Designs and I am sharing a card that I created using the brand new Sweet As Perfume stamp set, Layered Lacey Ovals Dies, Vintage Borders Dies and the previously released Vintage Flourish Pattern Dies.

I just love the floral images and intricate dies in the July 2016 Release, don't you?

I have never been to Hawaii, but I understand that they use the frangipani flower in leis (the flower is also known as the plumeria), so I "googled" the flower to try to obtain some color options and chose a multicolored flower for this card:-)

To create this card:

Using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink, stamp the frangipani flower image from the Sweet As Perfume stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp a few more of the images onto scrap paper and create masks, mask the flowers to continue to stamp the rest of the border/corner.

Using an waterbrush along with water-based markers (So Saffron and Sweet Sugarplum) watercolor the petals and Pear Pizzazz with Garden Green for the leaves.

Trim the panel and fussy-cut around the edges of the flowers.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Vintage Flourish Pattern Dies to cut and emboss the background die, mount onto a piece of So Saffron cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock, trim and mount the entire background onto the Extra Thick Whisper White card base.

Die cut and emboss the center panel from the Vintage Border Dies and mount onto the center of the Vintage Flourish Pattern Die cut piece.

Die cut and emboss the medium oval from the Layered Lacey Ovals Die and stamp the sentiment from Sweet As Perfume with Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink.

Add the flower border along with the sentiment using dimensional foam.

To finish off the card, add Pearls to the flower centers as well as a few on the sentiment oval and apply Clear Wink of Stella® to the petals.

Stamp Sets: Sweet As Perfume (ODBD)

Ink/Mediums: Stāz-On® Jet Black; So Saffron, Sweet Sugarplum, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green markers; Clear Wink of Stella®

Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron, Garden Green

If you have not already visited the New Release Reminder post at the Our Daily Bread Designs blog, I hope you will do so- fabulous inspiration from the rest of the Breadbasket!!

Thanks again for taking the time to visit- hugs and God Bless, my friends!
