TCC81 Poinsettia Collage

Hi Friends!!

I was inspired by the beautiful red poinsettias as well as all of the gold and textures for my Mixed Media Classy and Elegant card.

I decided to pair the Poinsettia Collage stamp (Our Daily Bread Designs) along with ODBD Christmas Collection 2013 6x6 Paper Pad for this quick card!  I chose to leave the sentiment off the front so, if desired, the recipient could display the card beyond the Christmas season :-)  Plus, I could not allow myself to cover any of the wonderful details of the ODBD Poinsettia Collage stamp!

If you have not had a chance to do so, I hope you will find the time to check out the rest of the wonderful Design Team cards at The Card Concept as well as the entries at the other challenge sites- fabulous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). Prepare a piece of white cardstock with an embossing powder tool, stamp the ODBD Poinsettia Collage image with Versamark™ ink, apply gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.  Once the embossing powder has cooled, color the image using a water brush with distress inks and markers.  Trim close to the edge of the image, mount onto espresso cardstock and trim again.

2). Trim a piece of the ODBD Christmas Collection 2013 6x6 Paper to 4” x 5 ¼”, mount onto a piece of espresso cardstock.  Mount the embossed image panel created in step #1 to the center and add the gold triple ribbon bow (wrapping the ends of the ribbon behind the card front).

3). Mount the entire card front onto a white card base and add a few pearls to the lower right hand corner.

4). Finish off the card by adding highlights to the center of the poinsettia with an extra fine white paint pen and shimmer to the petals with a clear glitter pen.

ODBDSLC264 In The Highest

Hello Friends!

With Thanksgiving here in the United States this week, I decided to create a very easy card with the new In The Highest stamp set using gold embossing and a few layers of the Christmas Collection 2013 6x6 Paper.

I am also linking this card to the Alphabet Challenge "T for 'Tis the Season" Challenge and the Just Us Girls #320 "Red, Green and Gold" Challenge :-)

Our Daily Bread Designs- In The Highest, Christmas 2013 Paper Collection
To create this card, ink the In The Highest stamp set using an embossing ink and emboss with gold embossing powder.

Trim the panel and mount onto brushed gold cardstock, trim and mount onto burgundy cardstock, trim again and mount onto green cardstock.

Layer the Christmas Collection 2013 6x6 papers onto a piece of burgundy cardstock, trim and add the layered central panel with the gold satin ribbon.

Mount the entire panel onto the green card base.

Add the embossed sentiment panel with dimensional foam and add the gold satin ribbon bow to finish off the card.

It truly has been a blessing to design along this fabulous DT Team for the last few months (this is my final Guest DT spot with ODBD)...

Hello Friends!

Don't you just love this gorgeous photo?  All  of the rich colors along with the beautiful navity scene around the fireplace inspired me to pull out the Away In A Manger set for my card this week.  The rich traditional colors of gold, burgundy and green were my inspiration for this Christmas card :-)

Lovely Leaves Dies, Paper- Christmas Collection 2013 6x6

Cut and emboss the Boho Backgrounds Die from gold foil paper and adhere to the Christmas 2013 Collection panel, trim to size.

Add the Gold Satin Ribbon strip and mount the panel onto a piece of burgundy cardstock, trim and mount onto the white card base.

Distress the white cardstock with Old Paper Distress Ink with a sponge dauber on the main focal image and edges of the card base.

Cut the pine boughs from hunter green cardstock with the Lovely Leaves Dies, adhere the branches to a small circle cut from hunter green cardstock.

Add the focal image along with the pine branches to the card front using dimensional foam.

HYCCT1520 Sing Choirs of Angels

Hi Again Friends!!

This card was created for the Splitcoaststampers’ Hope You Can Cling To  HYCCT1520 Robin’s “Candy Striper Comfort”Challenge (to create a card using Red and White Stripes) so I decided to create another Christmas card.

I am also going to link this to the Splitcoaststampers’ Way To Use It WT532 “Redand White Only” Challenge.

If you have not had a chance to do so, I hope you will find the time to visit both of the above galleries- great designs from all!!

To create this card:

Using Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, stamp the ornament with the opening for the sentiment from the Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD) Elegant Embellishments onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Position the sentiment and stamp it into the center of the opening with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink as well.

Use the Big Shot™ with the Elegant Embellishments Dies to cut out the stamped ornament, two of the detailed ornaments from another piece of Whisper White cardstock and two of the solid ornaments from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Emboss a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Stripes Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder (these stripes are difficult to see in the photo) and layer this panel onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Cut a strip of the red striped paper from the ODBD Christmas 2013 6x6 Paper Collection and attach it to the card front with a sewing machine using a zigzag stitch.

Add the crochet lace, 1” Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain Ribbon and the ornaments using dimensional foam and Gold Twine.

Mount the entire panel onto the Whisper White card base and add the Pearls to finish off the card.

Stamp Sets:  Elegant Embellishments (ODBD)

Ink: Cherry Cobbler

Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler; Christmas 2013 6x6 Paper Collection (ODBD)

Accessories: Big Shot™, Stripes Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder (retired), ODBD Elegant Embellishments Dies, 1” Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain Ribbon, White Crochet Lace , Gold Twine, Pearls
