Our Daily Bread Designs March 2017 Release Reminder

Hi Friends!

Today we are taking a look back at the March 2017 Our Daily Bread Designs Release!  We are celebrating with a Design Team Blog Hop and I know that you will not want to miss out on the fabulous inspiration from the rest of my ODBD sister “Bread Sticks” - we would love to have you hop along with us:

Dawn * Cathy * Lisa * Helen * Kathy * Sandee
Sabrina * Robin * Diana Lori * Julie (you are here)

My card features the Daffodils stamp set along with the coordinating Daffodil Die, Side Step Die, Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies (all from the March release) as well as the previously released Pierced Square Dies and BeautifulBorders Dies.

To create this card:

1). Ink the Daffodils floral image with archival black ink and stamp three of the images onto white cardstock.  Die cut each with the Daffodil Die and watercolor with watercolor pencils (in case you have never seen purple daffodils, I "googled" purple daffodils for my color combination :-)).

2). Die cut the card base using the Side Step Die from plum cardstock, fold along the score lines.

3). Die cut and emboss two pieces of white cardstock with the medium size die from the Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies, split one in half and mount onto the “steps” of the Side Step Card.

4). Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the Beautiful Borders Dies, adhere to the front “step” of the card base.

5). Add the Circle Scalloped Rectangle die cut to the side panel and  add the die cut Daffodils image.

6). Stamp the sentiment from the Daffodils stamp set using black archival ink onto white cardstock, set the ink with a heat tool before die cutting and embossing the sentiment with the Pierced Square Dies.  Mount the sentiment onto a piece of plum cardstock, trim close to the edge.  Mount the sentiment to the side panel and add a few pearls to the corners.

7). Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the flowers to finish off the card.

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by- hugs and have a great week, my friends!

ODBDSLC284 Tulips

Hi Friends!

It’s time for the new Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light ODBDSLC284 “Anything Goes with ODBD” Challenge!  This month we want to see your creations using at least one Our Daily Bread Designs stamps (from ODBD or our sister companies, Northcoast Creations or Artistic Outpost).

I decided to create a card showcasing the March ODBD Release Tulips Stamp Set along with the new Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies and the previously released dies- Pierced Rectangles and Rectangles plus the 6x6 Pastel Paper Pack.

If you have not visited the rest of my ODBD Design Team Sisters’ blogs and checked out their fabulous projects yet, I hope you will find time to do so:
Chris   ∙ Diana   ∙ Robin

To create this card:

1). Using the Pierced Rectangles Dies, die cut and emboss a piece of the Pastel Paper Pack, mount onto a piece of purple cardstock before adhering to the white card base.

2). Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies, mount onto the card front.

3). Ink the tulip image from the Tulips stamp set with archival black ink, stamp onto a piece of white cardstock, heat set and watercolor the image with purple and green water based markers.  Fussy-cut the image and set aside.

4). Ink the sentiment from the Tulips stamp set with archival black ink and stamp onto another piece of white cardstock, heat set with a heat tool before adding the light blue watercolor wash over the background.  Die cut and emboss the panel with the Rectangles Dies, mount onto the card front.

5). Add the fussy-cut Tulips image with dimensional foam and apply a clear glitter pen to the petals of the flower to finish off the card.

Don’t forget- you have until April 2, 2017 to join us for a chance to be spotlighted for the Shining the Light award or to win a $15 ODBD gift certificate (one random participant will be chosen).

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by!  We hope you will be able to join us for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light ODBDSLC284 "Anything Goes with ODBD Stamps" Challenge!

Hugs and I hope you have a blessed week, my friends!
